I\'m also using 10.4.2 with the same problems. It seems to be having trouble in general finding certain resources.

Kim, could you please follow the newly amended guide on how to obtain a console/crash guide to obtain a crash guide for the looting bug? I\'ve showed the console log to stfrn, but he needs more information. Thank you!

Here you go. Let me know if anything\'s wrong with that or if I can help with anything else.

Thanks for that output, unfortuantely it says the crash is:
Quote

Thread 5 Crashed:
0   libGLImage.dylib          0x94379de4 createCompressedBlock + 868
1   libGLImage.dylib          0x9437a6b0 compressTexture + 1556
2   libSystem.B.dylib         0x9002c3d4 _pthread_body + 96

and I think that means a problem with Crystalspace, so maybe if Dfryer used a different date? Not much that can be done from the Planeshift side atleast. Sorry.

Note: when posting logs, if you can, just look for something that says \"crashed\" :) Makes our job easier if you can find that.

I don\'t know how to read these crash logs, so I\'m still confused about what the problem is, and what you mean by using a different date. If it\'s a problem with the engine and not PS, then what?

Essentially, is there anything at all I can try, or am I stuck being unable to play? :(

For now, there\'s nothing to do. It looks like another new build is needed. Hopefully we can get this done quickly. If I can\'t find dfryer by the end of today, I\'ll try to do it myself, but I\'m a bit pressed for time. It\'s more likely that it\'ll get done tomorrow (by me or dfryer). However, after that it needs to get uploaded to the repository and even then we won\'t know if it\'s fixed. I\'m sorry for the problems, but please be patient while we try to find a solution.

Indeed, repeated rebuilding will do little to fix it if it\'s a mac-only problem.  The only full crash log posted here shows the usual \"crash on quit\" that everyone gets - it\'s an old, boring crystalspace bug.  The compressTexture one is interesting, it might indicate that there is a problem with texture compression extensions or Apple GL drivers, so that\'s useful information.

Can someone describe, concisely, what the problems they have are and exactly what mac, graphics card, and OS version they have?

Thanks,
Daniel

dfryer: stfrn suggested a new build with a later CS. I\'m not sure if this bug has been fixed by the CS team. Perhaps we should look through their history?

P.S. I am going to make a new thread in a second called \"User System Specs\" where everyone can post system specs. Please post your specs there.

EDIT: The new thread is here.
