Guilds?

K. I havent yet launched this game but the concept seems amazing...runnin the updater now.

I\'m sure some guild out there is  (extremely) newb friendly. I played EQ on both PC and PSII to level 40 so as you can see I have a lotta free time. Also used to play UO... which from the screens im hopin its similair to this.

Well now on to my point. I\'m looking for a guild or even just someone to get me oriented in the game. Hopefully someone will read this and feel for me and give me a kick in the right direction.

So if any of the readers out there wants to be my guide I would GREATLY appreciate it. I\'m not asking for handouts just maybe some help getting down the gameplay and such.

Also what is the best race for a mage or sorceror type?

Welcome to PlaneShift, I hope you enjoy your stay here.  First off you need to note that this game is in pre-alpha stage.  There are many things to do, but many features are not implemented yet.  The biggest draw for me is the community.  Also realize that there will be an item wipe soon, possibly a character wipe as well.

There are many other guilds out there as well, so browse this forum, read through everyhing, and make a decision based on your playing interests.  There is a guild here for most every style of player.

Umm ps is still pre alpha don\'t be expecting somthing like eq.

Mage: Lemur, Nolthrir, Diaboli are probably the 3 most obvious

For the time being you can turn most races into great mages, just by making right settings in the character creation (life events and such).

also, you might like to know.. at the moment magic is very weak... and you will prolly en up using swords at some point.
