I need to speak to a dev.

I need to make another formal complaint about a GM\'s behaviour.  Please give me the email of a developer or someone with oversight over such issues.

Zanzibar: Acraig posted it once, I think it is your best bet besides IRC :)

Good luck solving this!

Thanks to all that responded.

According to Stfrn, chatting about GM behaviour is not permitted on the planeshift chat.  Is there a seperate chat for speaking to devs about GM-related issues?

When people post threads about it, they are yelled at for doing so and told to take it to irc... So now we know irc isn\'t good either... Maybe it\'s just a system that\'s supposed to disallow players complain about anything :P

From \"How to Report Ingame Abuse\"
Quote

GM ABUSE
If you have any complaints about GMs, whether you feel they are abusing their powers or treating someone unfairly, please read the following.

You can join the #PlaneShift channel on IRC and speak directly with a developer or admin. This requires an IRC client; if you do not have one, download mIRC. Use IRC to connect to the following:

server: irc.freenode.com
channel: #planeshift

Speak with either Vengeance (Venge), Acraig or Talad. Venge primarily, if you can find him, as they are the only three people who have access to do anything about GMs.

note: speak directly with a developer or admin.  Not complain about how awful someone is, because no one wants to hear that anywhers about anyone. Xordan is such a Dev, and he has your logs, so we will wait on his action.

Dev addresses

Most of the devs have their email addresses posted at http://www.planeshift.it/helpus.html

IRC\'s a good place if you want to discuss with other players and GMs and if you\'re lucky a dev or two.

This has been some really strange news to me... I thought we referred people to IRC because they are allowed to discuss GMs there. What is this all..?

What an absolutely insane system. Zanzibar, josePhoenix wanted to set up a separate channel for players to come talk to GMs on freenode, but Moogie was heavily against it for a reason most people took as \"Let\'s not do that because we are thinking of something else that will work.\" Turns out... there is nothing else :\\

What a shock. Do players then have absolutely no outlet for discussing issues with GMs? IRC wasn\'t the greatest, but it was something... or so I thought. I guess it\'s just email for now :|

*edit* How often are Venge, Talad, or Acraig actually awake in there? Xordan is available more often than not, but that still isn\'t exactly.. adequate.

Woah, why the confusion? The sticky thread has been there for AGES telling everyone to privately talk with devs, not discuss the issues in public.

Karyuu, I have no idea where you got that from. Never have I ever said \"we\'re thinking of something else\". I said, categorically, and quote this EVERYWHERE you possibly can please, that \"We prefer that accusations are kept private to ensure they don\'t disrupt public chat areas and cause huge debates with people not even involved in the issue. Privately PMing a developer is the best way to quickly sort out the issue in an mature and unbiased way.\"

I\'ve also nowhere seen people just telling others to vent their complaints in the public IRC rooms. That\'s news to me. You do it in private, first with the GM in question, and then with admins if the issue remains unsolved.

Lordy, all this fuss because nobody listens to me.

Edit: Okay, I made the Abuse rules thread more clear for those who don\'t read all of the rules stickies (you should, shame on you X().
