List of occupations
« on: September 15, 2005, 08:56:44 pm »
I wanna know what possible occupations there currently is in planeshift and what occupations there will be. Therefore, I thought that I could make a list, which others can look at as well. The reason that I want to get to know which occupations there will be, is that I want to know what I have to choose from when the character delete has been done.
These are the occupations that I\'m aware of:
-Mage(warrior?)*
-Close-combat warriors
-Rangers(warriors?)*
-Blacksmith
-Mercenary
-Miner
-Woodcuter??
Please add posts on what occupations I have forgotten.

*I think that all occupations, that involves fighting, belonges to the category warrior. If you have an other opinion, please state it.

I... I don\'t think that occupations truly exist, in the sense that you probably mean. This is a roleplaying game, so no matter what, you can be whatever you want - and the skills work that way, too. You can be a hunter, and cut some wood when the \"herds\" have \"moved\" :P Or craft as a second job. Or be a mage blacksmith. It really doesn\'t matter.
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Ok. Then I better think this over. And thanks for telling me that I wrote that all for nothing ;)

IF you want to be a woodcutter that could work well with a ranger who makes the wood into bow and arrows, same with miner into smither and so on, mages should have like a mana force skill (any magicy thing or watever) and warriors could work well with smithers (who make their swords and so on) but really there is no one stopping a mage woodcutting or a ranger smithing, this rp and this is also freedom to do whatever you want to learn, mages could have a book and script reading skill and the list goes on, alot of occupations could be used
