But cant they just use the same system like some other games? Have an auto updater, and have a download section on the site so you can update manually from version 3 , version 3,01 and whatever versions have been made within a certain time period, then atleast we could play...

I doubt they will be putting anything else to download on the site anytime soon, due to the bandwidth shortage...
