dangerous position of the delete character button
« on: September 23, 2005, 11:08:07 am »
I would like to see the deleting character button on another place : it\'s dangerous o let it where it is on the screen.

When you click on connect, then your mouse is on the delete character button

I click two times on that button... but thank god the confirm button wasnt there.

Another way to protect user is simply to unfocus / unselect the name of the player, forcing player to choose his character before pushing on anything else

Yes!! I noticed this!! \"Whoah that was close\".

Should be quick and easy to shove the button down a bit :D

Why dont demand the account code when the delete button is pressed? That way you\'ll get rid of the \"ohh no I deleted my character, can you restore it please\"-Meassages. Or perhaps you dont get those.

No there is a confirmation window so You wouldn\'t delete it, bu its a bit scary and pointless to have the button there :P .

Well sometimes it just goes wrong. As a reflex u might try to get back to tha main menu as fast as possible if you pressed the delete botton and therefore accidently press the yes button. This has happend to me and it\'s really frustrating. The yes and the no button is not in the same position in all programs.

yes and if someone was lagging for some reason and they move the mouse up and then are too far to one side and move it over to get onto the no button and click and it lags all the way to the yes and clicks...

It\'s really quite easy to edit the .xml files yourself, for now :) I\'m on a laptop which doesn\'t have the client installed, so I can\'t pinpoint the exact file/code you have to tweak, but I\'ve rearranged my entire login screen with a few minutes\' work. Fun! :)
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.
