i have an update idea

what if you guys made an installer that installs the updated files....... like any other game has...???
and you can upload them to big game sites like:

www.gamespot.com
www.fileshack.com
www.fileplanet.com

etc. etc.  everybody will be happy

cos this updater crap doesnt work very well....

A package of updates would not be practical, as the updates are too frequent.

It worked perfectly fine just a few weeks ago, and it will work perfectly fine when this current issue is fixed.  Be patient.

laanx has suffered some slow down in the last little while so that makes updating very slow.  We are looking at other technologies for this.  One possiblity is bittorrent to spread the load around.

Doing an \'effective\' updater is actually much more difficult than you would first imagine.  So its something that will take several iterations to get right :)
