....If someone could help me out, that would be great.  I really don\'t want to compile system libraries that I don\'t use.

Read my last post on the installer releases page. Everyone seems to not read it for some reason...

It told you what you have to do -- install the Dialog package. dialog (0.9b-20040606-1) seems to be in the Ubuntu repository.

Hi guys,
I have a problem with the final of the installation :\\
I made all points of the installing guide, but for last i dont know what to do :)
When I want to try to start the game, its show me that:
\" * This likely means that the plugins could not be found.
If you\'re a user: Check the working directory the application starts from -
usually, it is the same as the directory with the executable.
If in doubt, contact the vendor.
If you\'re a developer: Check if the CRYSTAL environment var points to the
correct location - usually the directory CS was built in.
ERROR: csInitializer::SetupConfigManager failed!
Is your CRYSTAL environment variable set?\"

Can you tell me what to do :)

You are posting in the Xordan\'s installer feedback thread, so I guess you are using the Xordan\'s installer? Which one is the last step you are not sure about?

The error message itself indicates that you are missing CrystalSpace libraries or the Planeshift client does not know where to find them.

You start the installer in the directory where you download it. Here you can find some more instructions that could be useful for you.

I\'ve updated my client, following Xordan\'s guidelines (Keep  art folder, install planeshift then ran ./updater -auto)
However, it seems I can\'t initiate the graphical applications now...

This is what my computer tells me:

This happens with both the  pssetup  and the psclient.

Updater servers aren\'t updated yet afaik, so you just downloaded all the old data. Try doing the process again, but this time don\'t run the updater.

*sighs*

I wish our link became a solution, not a problem.
