Enhancing the "/who" feature

In my opinion, the \"/who\" function is not quite too flexible. I found 2 limitations:

- Only first names are listed, I cannot search for family names. For example, if I would like to search for a married couple if at least one of them is online, I need to know and check both first names.

- I cannot search for a 2-part name. For example, try to search for all members of the guild \"Game Master\": If you enter \"/who game\", the member \"Agamemnon\" is found as well. And if you search \"/who master\", you also get lots of \"Guild Master\" titles. Searchin for \"game*master\" or \"game?master\" does not work.

It would be nice if the functionality could be enhanced. But I will survive with the current limitations, I don\'t urge...

1) what if someone is hunting someone?

2) yes as in other games like furcadia where you use | as space...

On german keyboards, the \"pipe\" character \'|\' is on an own key: AltGr + \"<\".

I\'ll try that; but as far as I know SQL or Regular Expressions, I was rather used to \'?\' or \'_\' for \"one arbitrary character\". And I am not at all used to \"other MMORPG\", PlaneShift is my first one.

I don\'t see how knowing a last name would aid you in hunting, when you are already able to check for the first.

I did expect this command to use \' and \' on the end of the name input part of syntax, as does with guild renaming and setskill for GM work.

it seems not to work, and thus, It will be forwarded to a keen coding contributor to play with :)

well i know that it is still a little bland to say that it might aid in hunting but you would know if they were online and thus ebing able to ask around if someone has seen that person and/or where the player is thus being able to track that person down with ease although that would be a show of tracking skills thus making it ok... so yes forget that statement...
