Progression Points Vs Money
« on: September 29, 2005, 09:13:45 pm »
Just a quick question about Training.

The little Blue bar that goes down as you spend progression points and money at the trainer keeps going up.

The only think i can kill is rats. The money i get from it falls way behind the rate i get progression points. Something like 45 progression points i can\'t use because i have no money. Each level the blue bar at the trainer gets bigger.. I spend everything i have on Sword skill (which) i have a 3 skill in.

I hear people have like 70 points in this skill.. Just seems id be about 75 years old by the time i reached even half that.

Need money to train. Have to kill to get money. Killing makes me need to train more.

Maybe im doing something wrong but i invision about 500 progression points, zero money, and a blue bar of skill that would take about 5 billion cash to get down so i could work the skill up by using it.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for (sp)

Once you can take on consumers there should be less money problems. With Trepors even less... and then when you can kill gladiators, the money problems should be less behind...

First off... if you have really any weapon that cost at least 100 dollars and then kill clackers... save up money and buy a 20-54 slash swords from players and then kill mercs and SELL 20-54 slash swords... good money there... and the mercs give 100% expirience... so each kill=1 PP unlike rats with like 15%... so yea many people think rats are the thing to kill until you get high skills... clacker meat sells for 24 and legs sell for 16 i believe... so yea the reason the blue bar goes up is because you need to train more to get it ready to level up again... when it goes up it doesnt mean you lose training or anything... it is actually good... it means you are ready for more training...

the rogue along the way to the magic shop is pretty decent to kill goes down quickly too. he gives 5PP which will still leave you with a PP excess but he also drops weapons which can be sold for at least decent money, then if you are lucky you might get a good weapon then you can kill more stuff for more money.
<Rux> i wish i could say that narrows it down, but the internet is one freaky place

yes... if you feel like it you could try the thugs in the dungeons but i think they are a bit stronger, and seem to have a lower drop rate.

Thanks for the replies. I promptly got another 200 sword and put it in my other hand. Now i can kill Tefusangs (some of them) pretty well. The loot is WAY better. I was able to spend all my progression points with  800 cash to spare.

Things seem to move a lot better after those rats.

Another question,

With a

2.7 dmg sword
59 STR
4 in Sword skill

I\'m hitting around 13. I see these 50 dmg weapons going for around 6500. So like 6 hours of killing Tefusangs and i could get a weapon like that.

Is that dmg as insane as it seems?
Going from a 2.7 dmg to a 50 dmg on my first upgrade?

Do the monsters get insane HPs all the sudden or is this just the Devs way of letting people blast past all mobs so more people are exposed to more game play faster to uncover bugs?

I have a slash 60 blunt 10 (or whatever) claymore to give away for free... If you want it, you can PM me when you\'re online and tell me your ingame name...
And I also want to give away a 44 slash longsword... But that needs 85 strength, don\'t know if you have that much...

PP is quite easy to get... From the arena Trepors mostly.
But also Ulbernauts give 32,5 - 42,4 PP...

And Drey, no :|

54 slash broadswords are relatively cheep.  I bought a bunch of them for 1k each at one point.  It\'s the shortswords which are so expensive.  It\'s because shortswords are faster than broadswords and just slightly faster than longswords, so all the PVPers want shortswords for duels.  Demand = higher cost.

People might even giye you the broadswords for free.  There\'s this one guy in game called \"Shalmaneser\" who is just the nicest, most polite guy you\'ll ever meet.  Chances are he\'ll help you out if you catch him at the right time.
