Updater slow and i replace with

Hi there,

  I was originally having a slow updater issue.  So i search around and i found a link found here....

Now when i try install again to get to the updater a popup displays...

Planeshift Crystal Blue - Tech Demo Setup
    Error opening file for writing
     C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\updater.exe

      Click Abort to stop the installation
      Retry to try again, or
      Ignore to skip this file

  Any information on this would be great!  Thanks in advance!

Are you sure you are not having any other updater running somewhere?

I don\'t seem to be running more then one.  I will restart my PC just to be safe.. And report back any further problems after start up.

Ok we\'ll I restarted my comp and then ran install PS again and everything went smoothly..... Now when I update the PS the Updater is super slow..... Im not sure if it is possible to make it go any faster..  I can\'t update for an hour solid and still not have it finish.

  Also i checked my updaterconfig file and it seems to have been overwritten again

  The mirrors section of updateconfig look\'s like this..

 
       
       
   

  Instead of looking like this ...



  I don\'t really know how what else to do for this thing to work... I even marked the file updaterconfig as read-only..   Im not sure what else to try if anyone is fliping thru these and see this problem please post any information that might help me resolve this issue.. I have been updating recently and it took sometime also for me, but I haven\'t changed the repository URL.

The only suggestion I have is to read carefully this:

Ok after the first 2 updates, i get this on the 3rd update when the Dos box open\'s and it reads as follows...

 Couldn\'t copy file updaterconfig.xml!
 Access is denied (5)

  Retry or Cancel

  Any ideas???

Ok , Nevermind ...... the window started updating now it is still going really slow I guess I will just wait it out then..  Thank\'s for atleast trying to help me out , AryHann.

   I\'ll just let this baby update allnite.... Thanks again!

Why did you reinstall it? did you try to update before you did the reinstall?
