music that makes me twitch
« on: October 15, 2005, 01:55:49 am »
well ...since we had the oh-so entertaining thread about movies to avoid ...here goes

\"Cold Beverages\" by G Love and Special Sauce ...eep ...this one definately makes me hurt ...if you listen closely, I think you can hear my brain fizz

\"She Don\'t Use Jelly\" by the Flaming Lips ...MAJOR point of contention between my wife and I ...she loves it ...I want to rupture my eardrums with a BBQ skewer when I hear it (probably going to be sleeping outside for having written this)

\"Sex and Candy\" by Marcy Playground ...YAAKKKKK ...all I am gonna say

\"Date Rape\" by Sublime (less-than lime lol) ...don\'t so much hate this one, but can\'t stop giggling after hearing \"he was butt raped by a large inmate and he screamed\"

Really, the only stuff that makes me twitch at this point in my life is stuff that I\'ve recorded myself.  Every little mistake jumps out at me and causes me to go into a physical convulsion... well, a minor convulsion... a twitch, as it were.....

aw, man... Sublime is just too bloody awesome to have a place in that list... I\'m all for differences in taste, but that song really IS one of the bestest articulations of the genre at hand... heh, that was my point- love Sublime.

meh. I\'m drunk.

:P read the post hehe ...I don\'t hate the less-than-lime song ...it just makes me giggle

...and Zanzibar ...it is always that way with musicians ...it\'s what happens when you combine  right-brain dominance and neuroses (or maybe that\'s just me *mumbles and hides his four track* ) hehe ...at least (and I am guessing here) you don\'t have a live record of yourself playing your own bachelor party (holy @#$! I was bent! ...\"what key are we in? ...why am I playing bass? ...whatever ...let\'s RAWK!\") ...what can I say ...I am a child of the 80\'s ...big hair metal and all ...even had my picture taken with George Lynch (from Dokken for all ya youngsters)

oh, the humanity

I was thinking more of serious recordings, not just things I did while I was drunk, hi, or lazy.  I\'m just hypersensitive to the imperfections.

Firstly I would like to point out that I have not heard any of the songs listed here in Zog\'s list and have only heard of the band Maroon Five in Valbrandr\'s list. It may be because us Aussie\'s have better tastes :P. But well we are exposed to lots of music you wouldn\'t have never heard/listened to.

Music in my hate lists are; 60\'s, 70\'s, 80\'s music (excluding Guns and Roses, i\'ve taken quite a liking to them in the past few weeks)

Music I make sounds really crap to me but then I let my friends/family hear them they think it is good.

Oh that reminds me I still haven\'t finished my Character Theme song :(
yes... i\'m addicted to smilies :P:):D;), get me mental help peoples....

franz ferdinand rock... just their sound is so cool and funky even if they are slightly scottish. going to see them in december.

and that chad guy from nickleback seriously he needs his eyes eaten by tiny rodents and then all his limbs removed.

oook heres my dislike list

linkin park - i dont like them, and computer enthusiests telling me im a dick for not liking them lol.

any punk rocker wannabes - basically new music like good charlot and simple plan. (all the little wanks at school claim to hate simple plan to be cool and more autentic. also they claim to love the sex pistols to be more real punk)

may explain in the past year or so millions of people dieing their hair black.

any new crappy metal

any try hard tough boy crap

music with crybabys - all the music is like whiney \'im a looser stuff\'.  i wish they *would* kill themselves, no point singing about it. (people looove posting these lyrics as their msn names)

anoying rap - im sick of people being up themselves and thinking they are so good. maybe they will kill themselves out

limp bizkit - carnt stand these stuck up pricks

poser bands (trying to be freaky and scarey and writing stupid sh!t in their lyrics to please a small fake croud) this doesent include marilyn manson.

generic clone following money milking - yea you get the point of that line.  and people letting music speak on behalf of who they are, instead of just something they listen to.

theres some views in my opinion. (its an opinion, not reality)  kinda swerved into modern teenage culture here.
