what's in your CD player?
« on: October 17, 2005, 02:29:27 am »
we already went over the stuff we didn\'t like (and curse you, dragonfire for invoking the backstreet boys ...still having convulsions)

ANYWAY ...here\'s mine

1 \"Extraction\" Howe/Wooten/Chambers -way out technical jazz/fusion

2 \"All Night Wrong\" Allen Holdsworth -what can I say ...Holdsworth is a freak ...amazing guitar work ...and LIVE, baby!

3 \"The Infinite Vai\" Steve Vai -woof!

4 ^ disc2

5 \"Show Me what You Can Do\" Gambale/Hamm/Smith -another fusion power trio

6 Paganini\'s 24 Caprices performed by Eliot Fisk -if you are at ALL into classical guitar ...this is a dazzling display

Finntroll - \"Nattf?dd\"
Opeth - \"Blackwater Park\"
In Flames - \"Reroute to Remain\"
...A crazy mix of power metal supplied by Draklar.

At least, that\'s what is playing in my car whenever I drive. At home, it\'s all about mp3s :D And my collection knows no pattern whatsoever.
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

currently, right now, at this very moment...

Its either:

Franz Ferdinand - You Could Have It So Much Better

or

AFI - The Art Of Drowning

Editation! after thinking a bit more i think we can safely say thats its AFI
<Rux> i wish i could say that narrows it down, but the internet is one freaky place

Hmm. Let me see.... */me walks to CD player and examines it*

Ahhhh, it\'s a strange round plate with a diameter of 12 cm and a weight of approximately 5 grammes. It reminds me a bit of a shrinked pizza, just without cheese, potatoes and all that stuff that normally is on a pizza. But wait,... there is a hole in the middle, so it cannot be a pizza (which is a pitty). ;)
Well, I guess it is a Compact Disc. :P

Or do you want to know what\'s really in my CP player? OK, no problem.
*/me fetches a screw driver and starts to screw.*
Let\'s see what it brings.... and hope I don\'t screw it up. ;)

Knowledge is power, if you know how to apply it.

I don\'t have really many CDs. Mainly because of their high price (especially in Germany?!). But I really wanted to buy once:

  • Die Fantastischen Vier: (probably everything) + Hausmarke: Weltweit + Thomas D: Solo; Lektionen in Demut + Megavier + Four Elements
  • the prodigy: Experience; Music for the Jilted Generation; The Fat of the Land
  • Bloodhound Gang: One Fierce Beer Coaster; Use Your Tongue; Hooray For Boobies
  • Yello: Stella; Flag
  • Gigi D\'Agostino: L\'Amour Tojours; Tecno Fes 2
  • Bomb The Bass: Into The Dragon
  • Bang! - The Greatest Hits of Frankie Goes To Hollywood
  • Joachim Witt: Bayreuth eins
  • Massive Attack: Blue Lines
  • Seeed: New Dubby Conquerors
and a few more. Music must be special, unique, to enjoy me; either in melody, instrumentation, or lyrics.
