Ryken's Story
« on: October 21, 2005, 07:28:01 am »
Many of you Know Evangan, Well meet his brother and listen to his story, soon to be finished. (Written on wordpad so no spell check and im lazy so I hope everything is right)

Ryken\'s Story...

Born in small home in a small town run by a temple of Talad.  I am the brother of Evangan.  Aquavious is our family name, but I was given a new name during my life and I will tell you of that later.  When we were born we were seperated, at the time I didn\'t know why.  Evangan never even knew of the day.  As we aged we were forced to never come in contact with eachother.  Evangan never noticed I existed, but I knew he felt my presents just as I could feel his.  The reason I know of him and he doesn\'t know of me I think is because when we were born he wasn\'t alive.  When they pulled us away from eachother and kept us in seperate rooms the did what they could to bring him back.  I watched, well watched as well as a kit my age could.  I could\'t feel his heart beat until they brought him to life.  That was the day I knew we were connected and there was something special about us.

For the seven summers of our lives, it being in spring now, we lived our lives between walls and behind doors, never being able to know of the other.  But I already knew of him.  The priests of the temple called for my father to bring me to them.  As he did, I learned of the meaning of our seperation.  The priests said that I was becoming more curious of my brother, and that I soon would try to contact him.  The priests said if this would happen the land will be in peril.  So the priests said my father would have to do something more to keep my brother from ever noticing my existance.  The priest snuck up behind me and clubbed me unconcious. I woke up in a bag, bound and gagged.

My father and I then traveled, to this new land to the City of Ojaveda.  He took me behind the boxes still in the bag and set me free.  He gave me two swords and told me that this shall be my new home.  That he knew I was strong enough to live alone.  He then left me alone.... I didn\'t follow nor care, I just thought about the day I would go back and kill the priests.

Winter started and I lived in one of the empty boxes in Akkaio, feeding off the rats that there were many of, when a group of guildsmen came and found me. \"Heh, we seem to have a Cannible RAT living on our streets,\" one of them said, \"What do you think we should do to him?\" The one who spoke first was named Vihjir, he thought he was the strongest in the guild and strived to prove it everyday, but he couldn\'t ever win without a cheapshot. \"I say we make him pay! He is after all living on OUR streets!\" The next one who spoke was Makien.  He was probably one of the smarter in the guild, and chose to win battles with wits instead of steel, but he could still hold his own in a fight.  The others just stood there not saying a word, probably fearing Vihjir and Makien might attack them for speaking out. \"Unless your looking for a quick path to the death realm, I would suggest you leave.  I don\'t need anyone right now wasting my time.\" I said to the idiots who didn\'t know what they were getting themselves into.  \"Ho ho ho, this RAT has teeth, I think I should knock them out!\" Vihjir said as he swong and missed. I jumped back and avoided his attack.  \"Quick little rat, try to dodge this one.\" Makien said as he threw something off the stone wall that bounced and near hit me, I forward to dodge it but Makien kicked out my feet and I landed face first on the ground.  They all laughed as I picked myself off the ground and dusted off.  I quickly drew a dagger from my side and threw it at Makien, but he too was quick and dodged it, but my attack still silenced one of them... for good.  Without another word they all drew their steel, and I drew my swords. Attacking all at once I managed to kill one of them and left a rather nasty across the face of Vihjir and landed my other blade down onto the shoulder of Makien. I am not sure what happened next... Everything got dark and I could feel my stomach turn... I could just see a small shine in the darkness as his struck down the group, then I felt what I thought a 30 pound brick slam and sink into my stomach. It knocked the air from my lungs and dropped me to the ground. I soon passed out and woke up in chains in a dark room infront of what looked like a court.

The dark robed figures behind the giant heavy wood tables spoke, \"Makien and Vihjir, for not protecting you group in battle and making a fool of the guild in a public place. You will be punished by mining platinum, searching for weapons, and skinning Ulbernauts for the guild. Also your ranks will be dropped below the newcomers and you SHALL do everything they ask, if you wish to live...\" Makien and Vihjir nodded without an argument and left the room with this bulky Enkidukai that looked like he could crush a Kran in one hand. Then the figures of the court spoke again, \"And you.. What is your name?\" \"My name is not your buisness...\" I said without fear of them. The room seemed to gasp as I spoke out. Then the figures started to laugh... \"You seem to have alot of pride for yourself... but we are just asking your name. You killed two of our own and injured two of our best. The least you can do is tell us your side of what happened, and some information about yourself.\" I looked around and saw I wasn\'t going anywhere so I might as well just humour them and maybe get a little information myself. \"My name is Ryken. That is my full name and only name. I live in Akkaio. Your... whatever they are.. came up to me, and attacked me. I told them to leave and not waste my time as I was preparing for the winter. But it seems I am STILL having my time wasted...\" Then they spoke, \"I see.. Well, we were watching them, we saw everything. We had to stop you or you might have killed them all. We actually want to ask you if you would like to join us?\" Well, you know.... This was great offer, depending on what I got from it and had to do... so I asked... and they offered me a home, a bed, food, and water, and anything I could possibly want... they even offered me girls, some my age, but I had to turn them down, being only seven summers.. I wasn\'t ready for that. I decided to join them and they put me in a rank to train as a position of Officer.  The training would take several years and I would be ready for the position on my 15th summer.

During my training and my time in the guild I learned many things.  Like that big guy... His name was Rividen. He wasn\'t even as tough as he looked.  He was married to this small Fenki, tiny compaired to him.  She knew at heart he was really soft and kind even though his appearance could make a full grown Kran scream like a little girl.  I challenged him once to battle which he refused and instead we went out for drinks.  The bartender didn\'t argue with me being only twelve summers and just gave us our drinks and ran.  I also learned that the guild monthly chose new fenki\'s to add to their collection. They had an extensive collection with a wide age range. They seemed to have little or no respect or felt no moral wrongs to what they done to some of these Fenkis that havn\'t even made it into their fifth summer.  I couldn\'t care much though, I just kept thinking about my brother and of ways to kill the priests.  At often points Vihjir tried to kill me in my sleep, and everytime I would add a new scar to his face.  Makien on the other hand, he enjoyed my display of strength and often challenged me to a game called Mind Lotus. It was a game of stratigy, you have to use tiles and move them across a magic board.  You have to concentrate on each tile you own, and if you broke you mind link with the tile it would sink into the board. You gain new powerful tiles by moving them to different glowing spots and you have to protect your master tile with the tiles you have. You must keep concentration on your master tile while trying to capture or break your opponents concentration. You cannot touch or move you master tile. And you see, when Makien and I played, things got loud... very loud. Louder then anyone ever got playing the game. This also caused alot of problems with guild members coming in and attacking us during the game. Try keeping you concentration on every tile while avoiding an axe and a dagger. Its quite difficult... But enough about that let me get on with the story. Makien and I played the game without a winner for several years. Then it came the time for my ceremony into becoming an officer.  I felt the guild was wasting my time. They had me running around doing meaningless tasks of destruction when I could be doing something more meaningful. So on the day of my Ceremony, I challenged the entire guild to defend itself. The bloodshed in the guild hall was tremendous until it came to the time where I came to Makien, we had to finish our game. And the way we would finish it is by playing and fighting at the same time. Using our minds to move the tiles as we fight. If the master tile falls or the player dies the game is over. The winner gets to keep his life. It was the only battle ever... that wasn\'t a waste of time. I honor thee, Makien Blackblood. You were a true brother, and a great master. I hunted down the remaining members and killed them. Except for Rividen, who chose to leave the guild and protect his own family.

After the Shadow Guild was no more, and I was the only one left. I decided to take what I had and move on to my old home. I was determined to find out more about the seperation, and take my revenge for being left alone. Not exactly knowing the way, I walked in the direction I thought right. I continued on through the forests and over the hills until I came to it... my brothers home. \"Now where is the Temple.\" I thought to myself as I just strolled through the streets, because I already own everything, I just havn\'t told them yet. I walked into the temple, drew my swords, killed all in my path, and went straight to the old priest. He already knew who I was, and I could sense the fear in him. \"You mustn\'t return to your brother, Ryken.\" The priest pleed. \"Why not? You took us from eachother as we were born. I never even known what it would have been like to have a real family. It was your fault I was abandoned in a strange city when I was only seven. Do you know what happens to homeless children in big cities?\" I said as I progressed to him putting my swords to his throat, \"You are going to tell me everything.\"

He told me about how if I ever came into contact with my brother he would die. That the stones in our body will fight against each other. Each trying to push its will onto the other. The Light stone will win and for the Dark stone into dormancy, killing my brother. Eventually the stone will rise from his body to join mine. And the power of the stones will be too much for me to control, which I do not believe one bit. But he says if the stone join, I will gain massive power, and who ever holds both stones will be consumed by this power. The only way to keep the stones safe was the gods to put them into me and my brother. Because I and my brother are twins and hold our own unique power we can control the stones together. If the stones ever left a living body they would explode, destroying everything within a two light year diameter. To those who do not understand that... Its a REALLY BIG BOOM! Imbecils..

I killed the priest and stole a few of his possessions, he won\'t be needing them. I walked out and took a path to the nearest river, and washed the blood from me. \"Where too now... I suppose back to Ojaveda and ponder what has been said, but first, since I am already here.. I should check up on my brother.\" I walked through the town, that didn\'t seem to have changed much, straight to where I thought was where my brothers home was, but it wasn\'t. There was just a pile of charred wood and ash. \"HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!\" I laughed hystarically. I didn\'t know what to think, I just thought it was hilarious. A couple walked past seeing me rolling on the ground with laughter and said a few things about it amongst themselves, but I could careless. I got up dusted myself off and began my walk back to Ojaveda, when I felt the pulsing in my chest again. It was strong and almost made me lose everything to the ground. Then I saw him, out of the corner of my eye, walking behind me down the path, \"My brother.\" I jumped into a tree and watched as he past, trying not to fall, the sickness filling my stomach. He looked sad. \"That weak fool..\" I thought to myself, \"What could he possibly be sad about. Well, not only that, where is he going?\" I decided to follow him, hopping from tree to tree, trying to keep from falling, I almost wanted to jump down and hit him...

Then he stopped, he suddenly looked straight at me. I didn\'t move, the sickness was getting to me, and wondered if he could even see me. \"Strange, I thought I heard something,\" he said to himself, \"Well, I better look for a place to camp.\"

He set up camp next to a river, \"Perfect, we could fish. I could make noise and chances are they will be over powered by the water,\" I whispered to myself. I set up camp on the otherside of the river so he wouldn\'t run into me. I used an ulbernaut fur as bedding and watched my brother fish the river. He looked so stupid trying to catch the trout. I almost wanted to just jump in the river, stab the damned fish with my sword, and hand it to him. But he continued on, swatting the water... Then, he actually caught one, I kinda wanted to cheer, which was weird, I don\'t cheer, but he sure did, \"YAH! I GOT ONE! WOO HOO! HA! STUPID FISH! NOW I\'M GOING TO EAT YOU!\" I watched him clean the fish and I was just waiting for him to eat and go to sleep so I could get mine and sleep too but he decided to prepare the fish, with apples and a sweet sauce. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. I had to try to stay quite. The smell of the roasting apples and fish floated through the air and tingled my nose. Finally, he was getting to bed, I sat behind the tree, mouth still watering from the aroma. I then creeped into the river and silently caught myself a few fish and ate them raw. \"Ahhh, that will settle my stomach for awhile. Lets just hope he doesn\'t decide to make breakfast.\"

That night I dreamed, it was the first time I dreamed clearly and vividly. I dreamed of my brother, he stood before me and mirrored every movement I made. It was strange, I would look at him and he would be solid white with a black spot on his chest the seemed to grow and shrink and pulse like a beating heart. Then I reached out for his hand, and he looked at me with fright, he turned and ran from me. Why was he running? I chased after him, calling, \"Wait, stop, why are you running? Please stop.\" I couldn\'t hear the words but I could feel I was saying them. I just didn\'t know if he could hear them... He kept running, everytime he would look back I would see this terrible look of terror in his eyes. Then we woke up. I looked at him and he looked at me, I quickly grabbed the ulbernaut fur and bolted off. I was to head back to Ojaveda...

You can read 2 other stories from me at http://www.xanga.com/bloodwolfen

One isn\'t finished because it was taking me long to write it and i wasn\'t sure where i was going with it. The other is finished, but its not a childrens story I have to say :P

I really need to work on my writing skills and I am going to be going to college soon for that. Maybe one day I\'ll finish the story on my xanga and it will be alot better.

Akaylee lays drenched in a chilling sweat, her breathing shallow. She grips Zorbels hand tightly fearing the worst and losing hope. She speaks her voice hoarse and weak. "Zorbels time is running out. I don't know how much longer I can hold on. T...th..i..s ... spell Ashrock has cast on to me .... "

"Shhhh ... Akaylee ... I know. Fear not my childhood friend, I am getting closer to the curses cure." Zorbels strokes Akaylee's forehead and then bends to kiss her gently on the cheek. She whispers into her ear softly "Don't let go now, we have gotten this far. Don't leave me, you and my brother are all I have left for family. I won't fail you." Zorbels crawls into Akaylee's bed and slides herself behind the fevered fenki. She puts her left arm onto Akaylees side and pulls her into a spooned position. She crys softly into Akaylees back no longer able to hold back the emotions screaming to be known. Zorbels squeezes her eyes shut and prays to the gods to not take her friend and vows to put an end to Ashrock.

Akaylees voice drops to a tone dripping with pure hate "Zorbels just promise me .... when you find Ashrock, let me have the killing blow."

Zorbels nods and realises Akaylee can't see her, "Yes, I promise."

Akaylee squeezes Zorbels hand with affection "Thank you." She whispers and falls into another deep sleep.

[Credit for the writing goes to Zorbels, Thanks! :D]
