lol, suno you are on my \"deceptively stupid\" list. See, he made a like to his screenshots of \"file://localhost/c:/Program%20Files/PlaneShift%20Crystal%20Blue/screenshots/shot04.jpg\" which would work for him, but no one else. However, for some people, that link on their own computer actually points to screenshiots that they took.

I guess this is the point that people slap their heads, and shake them at the same time.

Or it could be a clever guise to make people go \"omfg! those are my photos\" (worked with one person).  Doesnt work for me though, because my default drive is F:\\

I would - if I could; but I don\'t own your private harddisk:

C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\screenshots\\shot04.jpg

Upload those pictures to a webspace provider, and use internationally available URLs.

dude, he didn\'t steal your screenshots...those ARE your screenshots.  Right click on the picture, copy image location, and past it some where.  It\'s calling the direct file on the harddrive where PS screenshots are saved.  I use linux so it doesn\'t show up for me.

That\'s still called taking it...what ever you want to call it the fact is I\'d rather not have my screenshots posted all around.
This discussion about me is over, back to the Sandstorm :P

No, no ...dude

No-one else but you sees your screenshots!

He just copy-pasted a shortcut/link on his computer as a http link. And it just happens that on your disk you have a screenshot with the same name in the same location.

NO-ONE else sees them.

Us - Linux (and MacOS) people see nothing, because we have a different filesystem/directory structure. Windows people probably see each their own 04 screenshot (or whichever in line it is)

Ergo: He *DID NOT* post it anywhere
and *NO-ONE ELSE BUT YOU* can see them (=yours)

It\'s like looking in the mirror
\"Hey, isn\'t this picture handsome\"
\"Lemme see!\"
the first passes the mirror on - the second looks in it
\"God, he\'s ugly!\"

P.S. waits for the first dwarf to realize that the enki we\'re talking about is actually 3 feet high and looks surprisingly like him - of course, calling all of us delusional crackpots :]

I\'m not sure I understand the point of using image paths that are not online.

/me shrugs

The sandstorm pic looks cool, though.  If it is indeed more than a graphics bug, sweet.  Between the rain and that, I\'m impressed.

@ Ecolem:
It\'s ok *pat pat* Had to happen someday.

@ Stronith:
Me neither, but some forums/fora have an attachment module, so you can upload and post a pic at the same time. Aynway, it was a simple mistake, he probably won\'t do it again (and he\'s definetly not the first one!).

@ Suno_Regin:
If you don\'t have an access to a file server yourself, try using one of the many free picture/photo servers online ...I don\'t really recall all their names, but I think imageshack and photobucket are two of those. You usually open up an account there (for free) and upload/post your pictures there and then you can link to them anywhere (even Ps forums), since they\'re on the \'net now. That should do the trick next time :]

Ok, now back on topic!!

Yea, the sandstorm looks great! :) A bit too great for a bug ...do we *really* know it is one?

LigH if you had bothered to read the thread you would find it wasn\'t a bug.

its not a bug, what happened was that it was clear, then it got a little foggy (the fog is sand colored over there, which makes it appear as a sandstorm). After abou 2 minutes, it picked up to the point where you couldnt see 10 feet in front of you, all you saw was sand surrounding you. Then it thinned out to that level on the screenshot, and started raining

not a bug!
