I was wondering if there was a site or a section of the actual planeshift website to see the features that are currently implemented into the game, like professions, and skills, and items and such.

most combat skills are working, magic, mining. all stats are trainable. nothing in the way of professions, items there are quite a few weapoins due to the random generator there are quite a few posts here about those things just search a little.
