Well done Farren! Next time... turn your sheeth while drawing, it prevents a load of stains. And get one of them soft stiffies.
yours, the entertainer

The only suggestion I would make, is when you draw, lightly sketch the pose and over all body shape so that if there are mistakes you can erase it and continue without showing a clue that you drew there. Also then you can move around the features and body position the way you would like until you are happy with it. Then once that is accomplished ... you begin to fill in the fine details. Other than that great job Farren. Oh and one more thing, the gum eraser is your friend, and works well for erasing. Look forward to seeing some more of your drawings.

Farren besides what I already PMed you, This drawing really is quite good, He looks like a very natural figure and that is an improvement on your older stuff. THe shading is not bad, just not enough contrast. everything is too dark. If perhaps you were trying to portray dark armor as well as a dark character then the shading would require highlights to look realistic. Anyway enough negatives, you did a great job and your definitely improving at a quick rate

Wow! that is very good and difficult to do I might add. The position looks very realistic, great work!

I wont hit post though until I make sure your aware of how much better it would look if you would just keep your drawing clean. Until you know the position you are going to want to keep make sure you use very light lines that are easy to erase! I dont know if you are intending on shading or not but if you do, remember...Contrast.

As I told you in IRC Farren you are improving so fast and you should give yourself a pat on the back. This drawing is very realistic, and the bodies are well balanced. Over all I was really impressed when you showed it to me.

I have to agree with Gentar, the drawing would look so much better if there wasn't lines and earse marks smudging up the page and causing distraction from the actual picture. Do I have to mail you a gum earser?  :P

My brother might be going through and cleaning that all up for me. When it is done. I haven't even finished drawing everything in there yet, or detailing... I am likely going to draw one or two more guys/hands with weapons in there, and then make them look better than my little temporary insert of a rogue :/

Over the course of this thread and especially the last week i have seen some improvement especially in using perspective and shading to make the image come off the page more. I suggest using the gimp or ps to clean up your images some before posting them and resisting the urge to use lined paper. I also like some of your concepts for creatures. I look forward to you continued growth.
