Guilds

Help me understand...
Why have some of you created and/or joined PS based guilds when there really isn\'t need for a guild yet? IMO, it\'ll be a while before the game is developed far enough to go run around in groups...

I especially did not understand it when I saw Guild One claming to be better then Guild Two.
Better in what? Spamming boards or smacking popups into mIRC?

Well, when the game actually comes out properly (its still only tech demo) the Guild stuff will be built into it, so thats alright. Also, Starting a guild now and officialy registering it will make it alot easier than buggering about making guilds when the game comes out, because you have to have 10 members to make a guild. Also, it gives you more time to develop your guild, get more members e.t.c.

And as for the which guild is better, thats just ppl saying that :D.

yea, its also nice to get a head start before the game comes. if you wait till the game is released to make a guild, you will likely find yourself at a disadvantage to the other guilds who established and organized themselves during the developement.

And, your not officially a guild untill you have 10 people, should be 20.

It\'s just the early start.
You start quickly, get members, when the game comes out, you are all set to go, and few can oppose you.
I have seen this done before, many guilds start way before the game even launches, and have tons of members at beta.

And link, it should be kicked up to 20 or so, just sounds like a better number.

beh, screw Guilds... I prefer well established Adventuring bands, groups and troops to large masses of players with the only thing in common a guild tag hovering over there noggin.

Give me 4 or 5 regulary companions over a guild any day...

that is not entirely correct. a guilds members usually share the same goals and beliefs. Not just a guild tag.

Well, a guild to me is exactly what you said bigfoot...except you gotta do more stuff only than go on quests together, makes it more interesting
