Graphics reset when rotating/ moving
« on: November 03, 2005, 04:02:19 am »
When I move my character it will start to revolve or move, then hits a graphcis freeze - which resets about 8 seconds later, then releases the character to move. This does not always happen when entering game.  Sometimes this freeze locks the Windows XP OS.  I\'ve used updater always before entering game. radeon 9800 pro vid.

Tell us more about your PC (mostly CPU, RAM, GPU) and settings. I experience similar problems, it seems that PlaneShift meeds much time to load eitehr textures, or player positions, especially when crossing area borders (like around the stairs between the plaza and the tavern) which affect the visibility range.

i get pretty much good performance with pretty much average specs, there are a few things you could look at in the setup the main thing i cant think of now being texture down sampling if you do decide its a poor performance issue.
<Rux> i wish i could say that narrows it down, but the internet is one freaky place

Start the PlaneShift setup tool. Click the lower right slider to \"1/4\".
