Is the Server down right now?

I have all of the updates and I look on the laanx site and it says people are on.  Is the server down right now or am i just getting a bad connection?

disable firewalls
bypass router
and work backwards from there.

Well i have dial-up so i don\'t have a router, and none of my firewalls are up.  So the game is up?

I\'m not trying to be rude but if the game isn\'t working right now I\'d like to know please.  I don\'t want to stay on the computer all night for nothing.

laanx.fragnetics.com says it is up. so there is a problem with the connection.

what firewalls do you have installed?
which os are you using?
->what error messages are you getting<- important

and the forums don\'t operate in real time, patience _will_ help you here.

I\'m sorry for double posting.  Well right now i\'m sure the only firewall i have on is an MSN one for Dial-Up Internet but I close it as soon as I get on.  The only PS error i\'m getting is the one that says its not running and to come to the Forums when i\'m trying to enter the game.  I guess the game doesn\'t want to work for me today.  Well thanks for trying to help I know your not god and know all and sorry about being rude earlier.

I didn\'t know that now Msn also sells firewalls.
Anyway you can also check if the one that cames embedded with windows xp is enabled (which is by default if you installed SP2) I do hope this isn\'t the problem, as I think it should have prompted to allow or discard the connection, so:
Can you make a ping command to laanx.fragnetics.com?
If not, can you post your traceroute to the same location? (tracert laanx.fragnetics.com) ?

Windows Fire Wall (SP2) will not block PS.  I play PS all the time with it, and it works fine for me.

Lol. I\'ve just signed up to find out the servers down.

I\'m sure this has been mentioned before, but http://laanx.Fragnetics.com/ is an easy way to spot it is down because it shows that there are no players online.
