Ensure that your downloaded  file has this size 245,856,434
If not, the most reliable way to get it is using BitTorrent:
http://laanx.fragnetics.com/bt/PlaneShift_CBV0.3.012.exe.torrent

this will launch your default BitTorrent client, if you don\'t have any, try with Azureus, BitComet or BitTornado.
Also remember to update the game once you\'ve installed it using the updater utility.

Bit torrent is the way to go, as said. The DMG file you got is for the Bit Torrent client to initiate the download stream. It is not an install file for the game.

If you look at the download page, the mirror sites will download the .exe install files to the game, if you don\'t want to use Bit Torrent.

I would add that after the download, my file had the .torrent filename and I simply renamed it to .exe and it worked fine to install.

So if you have finished downloading the torrent and it doesn\'t look useable, try renaming it to a .exe and it should work fine.
