Server down?

Hey, im not the best with computers and am not to sure what i should do... im at the log in page and whenever i try to log into the server it says

The server is not running or is not reachable. Please check the website or the forums for more info.


I searched these forums but it says tht the server is up, im not to sure how to check if my firewalls are up, but i\'ll keeping looking through the forums for instructions
If any1 can help me out i\'ll appresiate it

yes the server is down.  go to laanx.fragnetics.com and check how many people are online.  if 0 it is down, which it is.  I dont know why though.

Does anyone know why it is down?

I do not know if this helps but I noticed that every weekend the creators of the game work on PS and so it is to be expected that the server will be down for a bit.
(someone can correct me if I am wrong)

We\'re working on the game all the time, the server just has to be down to get it ready for you to get them.  This is just the second part of the update that was released recently.  Updates are every month and a half, or so, with little ones whenever needed.

There are zero players online currently - the server is down. I believe this has been stated several times already, but once again: do be sure to check the \"Current Time\" and \"Reported Time\" on the Laanx website - if they do not match, no matter how many players \"appear\" online, the reported data is old.

*edit*

No one knows when it will be back up, most likely not even those who work on the server - there aren\'t timers for these things. Just wait it out as best as you can. Can take minutes, and it can take hours.

I don\'t know if my problem is the same..

I Login,
I click on \"Join Game\",
The step \"loading game\" is ok,
But at the step \"requesting world\", i got the message \"Timeout waiting for the world to load\"

Is it the same problem please?

Hey Nuage! Wow, it\'s been ages :)

If you\'re behind a firewall or router, do make sure that you have UDP port 7777 open for server \"Laanx.\" Also try pinging laanx.fragnetics.com (via Run... command in Windows or something similar) and see if you get timeouts there as well.

aawww I feel very weak with computer now... i even don\'t know what is UDP Port 7777 and the run command you told me. :(

I had change nothing to my firewall or internet setting...
i will try to make an exploration inside the internet setting.. but that\'s as throw a bottle in the sea i guess

I have open a new port in my firewall exceptions:
number port: 7777 (selected \"UDP\" )
name: laanx.fragnetics.com and laanx. (tried the both)

I have use run command with \"laanx.fragnetics.com\"  in my windows

I still don\'t arrive to pass this step \"requesting world\"

I don\'t know if that could help you to help me , but just before \"join game\" ... in the window server -Fragnetics- the % are 0 to 5%at the best..


This problem is coming saturday. I have never change somethings in my internet setting or firewall. (no updates installed too etc..)
Maybe that\'s a Problem of server with the French account? (Is there some french online?)

there\'s only the one server.
but try it with the firewall down. if you still can\'t connect then the problem lies elsewhere.

Make sure your client is up to date, try to launch updater again.
If it keeps crashing, post the results of updater.txt on your planeshift folder, so we could see if something was wrong during the updating process.
I too had that message \"timeout waiting the world to load\" simply because I didn\'t update to the latest version (that has no number change) that comes with the new DR.
