Ping problems
« on: November 06, 2005, 06:50:29 pm »
Hi,

I ve been 2 days reading lots and lots of posts about PROXY and SOCKETS. Now i can definitivly say i need help.

I live in a \"place\" :p with lots of students and that means someone closed most of our PORTS.

I try to conect to ps but i get a message that says:\"Server not reacheable... blablabla\" and in the PING stat says 100-failed.  Tried changing the direction of the server for its IP and some other things i read here but nothing resulted.

Finally i would like to pray (really wanna play) if someone has any idea to help me. The problem might be i can?t  PING anyone (including game server) out of my LAN.

Thks :)

Do you mean you can\'t ping any servers or just fragnetics?

Anyway, you should have received some notice on how to connect to a proxy and set up your connection.

Stuff like proxies normally go to the browser and the other applications that connect to the internet. You should looks for keywords like \"proxy\" or \"connection\" in the configuration menus of your apps.

Stuff like DNS servers, default gateway, IP address and similar stuff normally goes to the system configuration. On Windows try right-clicking on the network icon on your desktop.

When using Linux, you need to edit some files or start your distributions\'s configuration frontend. But without some info, I can only guess.
Typing and grammatic errors may be safely ignored, they come without charge ...
