Enjoyable?
« on: November 06, 2005, 11:16:20 pm »
This game isn\'t fun at all because of the reoccuring server shutdown like every 10 minutes. Stop Restarting the server so much please!

You would complain if you were new at this.

Basically, the weekends are when we have the most time to work on stuff like this.  It seems we have had a fair number of  issues to try to resolve and we are working as quickly as we can on those.

Then try not to :) If you are looking for a game with a stable server and tame code, PlaneShift may not be for you - this is, after all, a tech demo still in its very beginning stages of development. If you think that the server restarts are hard to deal with, no one is keeping you here - you have all the freedom to take off and do something else. Of course I hope people stick around and see that the community is worth going through bugs and errors and shut-downs for, but if it is too much for you and you aren\'t satisfied, by all means find something else.

People work on PlaneShift as a hobby, in their free-time, however much of it they can find after taking care of real jobs and life issues. And they work pretty hard to keep everything stable and as enjoyable as possible. If you can\'t help in some way, at least don\'t post random complaints with very little other content - it\'s not very productive.

Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

You have the freedom to leave if you don\'t find things enjoyable here :) Like I said, I always recommend people stick around instead.

You hate the restarts? Think how I feel when I get to work on Monday morning and login to laanx and see 3 GB of core files to go though :)

Believe me, the crashes/restarts are the highest concern to me at the moment.

This I know I have been told so many
times and do not complain
This is the way it is for now and I do
await the fixes with a smile on my face.
I know you are all working hard and that
is what I am talking about.
Shayla thinks if it were prefect then this
post would have never been started *shurgs*
But I am saying that the people you have
brought to this game are most asome
Shayla thinks you could not be doing a better job

P.S. Never said hated ;) just didn\'t like them
If I did I like them that would be a cause for
concern O.o

Shayla, when you suck up, try not to make it quite so obvious.  I must say however, thx for your hard work devs.

Please, be quiet. I enjoyed the first days of CB, and the server went down every thirty seconds back then! I had to log off every time I killed a monster to save the changes to Cyrus!

Just think, you could always be paying for this game.
Life is what you make it. Unfortunately, it will take awhile.
