No mouse pointer - Ubuntu/Crystal Blue

I loaded the new Crystal Blue version today, installed it on 2 machines running Ubuntu 5.10. Both installs went fine, then i updated and ran the settings configuration program. These were also fine and i could use my mouse in the update and conf programs.

But when I ran the actual psclient, login screen comes up -- but no mouse pointer! No matter if its in a window or fullscreen, no mouse. What is wrong here? Same thing on both machines, other has Ubuntu 5.10 release candidate, other has 5.10 final. On both machines the mouse pointer IS visible in the updater and conf prg. Any help appreciated, would like to try this game...looks promising ;)

I am facing the same problem, also running Ubuntu 5.10 on my machine. I have no cursor in the login screen, when I just hit enter, the client tells me, that i dont have the correct version for the server ?! Any hints?

I\'ve got exactly the same problem.

To be more precise, I\'ve got a Ubuntu Hoary updated to Breezy, just in case it should matter.

Try changing the Skin in setup.

I\'m running Mandriva 2006, and I have the same issue.  I changed the skin, and it didn\'t help.  Here\'s the error message I receive after exiting the game.  The good stuff is near the bottom, where it says it can\'t find pointer_normal.png:

system RH FC4- fully updated via apt
No mouse displayed on login screen. Updater screen ok but very delayed in movement

I have the same problem, no mouse on login screen... And the same message \"You are not running the correct version of Planeshift for this server\"

it works in ubuntu with the latest binaries but the cursor is shrunken, wrinkly and brown...
