A screenshot someone posted earlier:

Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

@ Shayla:

Is it already house-trained? Does it follow reliably? Can it support you by attacking along? (according to the description, yes - must be nice to see it fighting a rat).

They fight?

No wonder the NPC combat has been down for so long.

Coding for that, must be a challenge.

Appendix A.3 - Combat & Targeting commands

/pet [pet_name] follow|stay|attack|guard|assist options

have to be tested when your pet is available for you.

I am not sure. Still very new to
it all but I like them very much.
Shayla thinks of a name...
They do seem a bit jumpy and
active but well behaved. ;)

I can\'t get mine to follow me and I can\'t change its name.

Namechanging works fine with me, as does dismissing and summoning but every time I summon it again the name is gone.

None of the other commands seem to work and also whenever I look at its stats, the client crashes.

Tisk tisk. There\'s a quest in the game, and beyond that you\'ll have to find out yourself. ;)

There was another thread asking the same thing, but apparently it\'s gone now (and, no, there\'s no answer there).

Well see, Its soul resides in a special ring.  Once it is summoned, you release it from the ring and let it out, however, it is still magically bonded to it and the bearer of the ring.  So, in essence, you get a groffel from a ring.  ;)
