I called mine Primus Indus, its Latin for first India. I think Latin is cool for names.

No I have the same problem. I named mine Nibbles Z at first then changed it to Nibbles. It keeps coming back as Nibbles Z. :/ I also named my pet Britney Spears for fun and for the longest time I couldn\'t get the Spears part to go away...... I didn\'t talk to my pet for a week.....

It is back to Nibbles Z.....

unfortunatly no a pets name does not have to be unique as i found out when someone blatently stole my pets name for their own

mine alters between Dr P and Seijuro Hiko, depending on his mood :) (im so annoyed it wouldent let me name it \'Baron Humbert von Giggenden\')

is there a naming policy for pets? other than bad language is anything allowed, i saw someone use it to display their afk status before, or as their shops \'open\' sign.  thought it was actually quite a good idea.

Roleplay names only, definitely no \"AFK\" status signs or store signs. The same character naming rules apply to pets, though there is more leniency towards silly names, like \"Beaky\" or \"Sunspot.\"
