A quick question

Can anyone direct me to any kind of racial lore about any of the races?  I\'d like a deeper understanding of whats going on before I decide my path.

Your best move would be to look at the housing architecture showed in the pictures around races page. Even that can tell you a bit about the culture and way of living.
