The NPC Client has been down for about 2 weeks now, so I suspect they\'re working on it...I wonder whats going to be new (I wonder if it will ever come up again :| I want a Groffel)

It makes me wonder.... how are people getting the things required for the thing to do the thing?  Either someone had a huge stockpile of such things, or certain other persons have been intervening..... which I call favouritism, but hey what do I know.  I\'m me.

The npcclient isn\'t up at the moment because when it crashes it generates a 500MB core dumpfile every few minutes.   Leaving it overnight will kill the server space...  But we are on the tail of the problem and trying to figure out the correct solution for it.

That\'s good to hear.  From how you were describing the problem, you devs must be ready to break.



Still, I wonder how people are getting the items.... either GMs are infusing the player base with them, or someone had a huge stockpile for some reason.

Uh, no.  There\'s a particular item that people need which can only be obtained by killing things.  People can\'t kill things, but somehow they\'re being supplied with the item.

Perhaps they were supplied by killing the monsters? The npcclient has not been down all the time, infact it is back up now.

*shrug*  Every time I\'ve been online in the last week or two, it was down.  That\'s wonderful if the bug was fixed.

At least then players will have some possibility to play normaly.

zanzibar, its been kind of like you weapon prices thing...

but with out people going to auction, ive seen prices offered on some items for alot more than harnquist would pay for them

so yes there must be some people who have a stockpile of things, i know my GM has a rat eye because someone gave me it in a trade.

At the moment we think it\'s better to have it halted than to be failling \'quietly\' all the time.  I am optimistic that we will have it fixed over the weekend.
