How to Get Pets to work

How do you get the pets to work? I was going to ask someone but the game crashed when i asked....so if anyone could tell me how to do it, that would be nice.

Type \"/pet\" and you will see a summary of available commands.

\"/pet summon\" and \"/pet dismiss\" would be the most important ones.

\"/pet name firstname lastname\" or \"/pet name firstname no\" gives them a name you decide.

\"/pet follow\" and other actions would only work when the NPC superclient is running.

Is this situtation still current; i.e. you can only summon/dismiss/name/rename your pet?

Yes, that is correct. Some have reported being able to make their pets follow them, but I believe that was quite a while ago. The pet system is still limited, and still very much broken... :}
