I think most all of those are planned for the game or have been discussed at one point, except for the ninja thing...what inspired that? :P

I just noticed that mjost games dont have shinobi style stuff like knives attached to chains (awesome in paper rpgs) and some of the other stuff like that, I mean yeah, ninjas are a bit old but really if you read their real history, not the hokey finokey stuff in the movies, they are pretty awesome, some catally cut out their voice boxes so they\'d shut up (weiard but true)

Ok, you want BETTER everything, then go buy a game, they are striving for a game that will be downloadable and wont take a 200 terahertz server with 50 gigs of ram and take 5 DVDs to hold it all. You also need to stop and think about your ideas, are they feasible? Balancable, New ideas are good but not telling them what they have already needs to be better, this is a MMORPG meaning alot of people will be running aroundl, the flying has been discussed and should be hard and you won\'t see it for a long while, when you have hundreds of people moving around you, even in a 2d MMORPG, it hits the frames bad, AND THIS IS A FREAKIN TECH DEMO, THE FIRST RELEASE! DO YOU NOT THINK THEY PLAN ON MAKING IT BETTER, AND MOST OF THE STUFF YOU TALK ABOUT HAS BEEN DISCUSSED RECENTLY! And they are also trying to keep the game without then Teen boundaries, not mature.

Also, the ideas were only what they were, ideas out of the blue, of which most of are feasable. (ie the items and magic) and the summoning would be like adfding a npc to your party, the levitation would be extremely easy, books are also easy, but kinda stupid, i agree, and also the large scale balltes would be a random npc generator that are enemies, kinda unfeasable, but still possible. the things like cookign and fishing are extremely simple, as is the twon crier and the farm animals, and many other things I said. I agree thopugh some are extremewly unfeasible or impossible.

Link, although you are right, this is the Wish List of what you would like to see in the game, not a what-you-think-the-developers-will-be-able-to-make-so-think-before-you-post list

ALTHOUGH, you could have edited your first post and added to it instead of making like 10 Egyn :P

Many of Egyn\'s Ideas as previously stated have been discussed and implemented.
Also it is true that this is a wish list, however as Venge stated in the thieves thread, You are more likely to see your wishes make it into the game if you ballance them. (not his exact words but something to that effect)

Finally Egyn if youd like better models, you are welcome to try out for the 3d team and improve them as nuch as you want.
Insulting the work of others is hardly a way to get a possitive reaction and the changes you want.

Also this has been stated and restated throughout the forums time and time again. This is just a tech demo, pre-alpha phase.

...I could just sfuggest that a fast look at the pics area of the website would have shown Egyn a few different things about graphics... ;)

Egyn,

It is perfectly valid for you to brainstorm out your ideas here and see how people react, so don\'t worry about that part of it.  On the other hand, you will get better feedback if you explain your ideas better or invent some idea which makes your wish possible to come true.  For example, maybe we can have battles with tons of monsters and not hurt framerate by making those monsters 2d flat monsters from another dimension.  :-)  Then we really could have 1000\'s of them on the screen, theoretically.

I do agree with Link that it would be nice if your list added more value than just being a \"better everything\" list.  Also, I\'d appreciate it if you would tone down the language a little bit when criticizing people\'s stuff.  I don\'t really like that Enkidukai in Atomic Blue either, but I know that whoever did it spent weeks on it and probably learned a lot from doing it, which is the whole point for most of us on the dev team.

Do check out the pics section of the website as Boonet suggested if you are concerned about the artwork in the game.  :-)

Just one thing though, about shinobi style ninja weapons. Well from the time frame this game is ment to follow, medieval times, there were no ninjas. Ninjas were in Fudal Times much later in the time line. Also I tend to have a hard time when it comes to weaponry and martial arts. The Katana was not a sword used by ninja but instead was used by samurai. A Katana is a curved blade and is quite elegent in detail. What the ninja would use is a straight blade that was not even an actual sword. Its use was for stabing and not cutting. Also it was a tool more than a weapon, being used to stick into things to aid climbing. Another thing about ninja that seems to be missunderstood is those shinobi style ninjas are mondern style and not what a real ninja was.

A real ninja was nothing more than a pesent that resorted to gorrilla tactics to defend their lands from invading samurai. What made them so mystical was that the things they did were not of the norm. A samurai was battle hardened and had a code of honer. They would never strike a man that had his back turned. They would confront their enemy face to face. These farmers and pesents had the liberty of not having to abide by this code. They would sit in ambush and while the troops of samurai would march through, they would hit from behind and go back into hiding.

It is the same thing similar to the British marching through a field in the Revolutionary War. They did it by the numbers. Made ranks and lined up for battle. The colonists didn\'t do the same, they took the que from the indians and took to hiding behind trees for protection and fighting from there.

Same thing with the British is what hap[pened to the Samurai. Niether had any clue what was happening to them. Niether understood any other combat than what they had trained years to do. So when someone fought out of the norm, it was completely amazing and a few were able to take out many in the confussion.

Later on the warlords began hiring these gorrilla style fighters and payed them for assassination. Ninjas didn\'t start as assassins but ended up that way after the warlords saw how practical their unorthadox fighting style was. Where the first ninjas had no training these later ones started to get some training. Of corce the two, samurai and ninja, were kept far apart from each other so not to cause fight. The warlords would actually deni even having ninja cause they were hated so much. If a samurai found out his employer had ninjas he would feel dishonored and either become a ronnin or in some cases would kill the warlord and take his possition.

I might have lost a few thoughts there cause I was being interupted while writing but I hope most of my point came through.
