Molecular Blue

I got a couple of questions.

1).  Is this thing commin out this month or maybe this month...maybe the next...or maybe even 3-4 months from now.
2).  In this one are you going to actually be able to play the game and interact with other people, or it just be the same as the other demo just with better graphics.
3).  Is this next one still a tech-demo or is it now the real thing.

Thats about it. :D

1) Yes... maybe . Sit tight ;)

2)Many additions have been made. I\'m sure the devs here could tell you a little more.

3) Still a tech demo

The MB release is pretty close to being functionally complete at this point, and Boonet\'s levels look absolutely amazing.

The bad news is that right now, because the world levels are so large, MB also requires you to have 256MB of RAM to run it at all, which is way too much.  We, the coders, are spending our time at this point on quality control and on reducing the RAM footprint of this world.

Not sure about what question #2 means.  There is no combat in MB either, but you will have items and inventory and be able to talk to NPCs now as well as players.

Definitely still a tech-demo.  I think after MB we are still 2 releases away from the \"real thing\".

Just my opinion,
-Venge

What...hehe...one more question.  In this one will the server be faster and less laggy or is it just me that it jumps a little when i turn around and look at the whole town?  I am not worred about the MB i have over 300. :D

yeah. Don\'t worry \'bout RAM, everybody should have at least 256Mo, by now. At least all gamers.

For those windows users out there with exactly 256 memmory it will be a problem ( Correct me if Im wrong)
Windows does tend to use Ram for services, background programs use ram,any apps you have open are using ram......
So when planeshift comes along and says it needs 256 then I suspect that if it runs at all it will be rather slow, as well as freezing often.

Curse that Bill Gates!! I love how you can buy a computer with 20gigs of space and 256mb of Ram and what it actually has is 17.6 gigs of space before windows and other baisc programming andthe ram is actually only 252! They should list exact numbers not round up and fudge it about!

Hehe bought my computer from Best Buy and got a Sony Vaio a few years ago, won\'t make that mistake again.

This is kind of wrong, you can load gigabytes in less then a second, so all you can really do by adding ram is speed things up, you can fill your ram up faster then you can think about it, but, the more ram you have the more world you can load, and, the more ram you can give to other things like windows.
