Troubles with Ps 0.3.012
« on: November 19, 2005, 04:12:22 pm »
Hi,

I just installed Ps 0.3.012 on my Fedora Core 4, and when I run the pssetup or updater, the pssetup window is like this:

Instead, the psclient window is completly black...

Have you any suggestions?

Thank you very much

Francesco

There is a common policy that if you have something to add to your previous post and nobody has replied so far, you use the Edit Post button and modify your existing message without posting a new one  :)

Also it would be nice to hear, how did you fix it. This will help others to solve similar problems without posting. I had the same problem and fixed it somehow,  but I don\'t remember, what did I do to fix it. I tried to replicate the problem in order to help you, but whatever I did, I couldn\'t get the problem back  8)

EDIT: Edit Post is the name of the button.

Ok. Next time I will use the Edit button :)

About the problem, I solved it so: I installed the PS 0.3.012, then I installed the fix package (that package with psclient, pssetup and updater only), then I decompressed the PS 0.3.011 in a different path, and I copied the files of version 0.3.011 in the 0.3.012 path, without overwrite the existin file.

That\'s all :)

Bye

Francesco

BTW: I think it will also suffice to just run the updater \"blind\" as that will get you the missing files.
