Unfortunately, Proglin forgot to tell Laanx and Talad...

  Only in the middle of such well prepared events, the server decides to crash - and stay down.

  And (almost) only Talad would be able to reboot the server.

So, if anyone would want to start a roleplaying event: Start a petition first, make sure that Talad himself will be there (or acraig, maybe), to monitor the server during this event. Without this preparation, serious roleplaying is as risky as walking on a field during a thunderstorm.

i stand in fields in thunderstorms often, not risky being in a tree is though

I highly doubt that one of the Developers that can restar the server would have the time to sit and monitor the server whilst an RP event is going on, no harm in asking though, it\'s quite odd how, as soon as some RP is about to start the server goes boom

so so true...  was enjoying a great RP and bang - all gone... we need more DEVs to look after the server side of things.

Managed to get at least one good shot before the crash.

The server was in a infinte loop and locked up ( which is bad because there is no indication of that like a core dump ).


I just restarted the server and will be on IRC for the next little while.  So if the server stops responding you can ask me about it and I can check it.
