No I\'m certainly not deleting the Enki, they\'ve been my favourite since the beginning, but now I\'m first trying to get my Ynnwyn up and running a bit :)

Also, now that I know more about the new things that are there now with Crystal Blue I think that I\'ll soon go on with the Enki and keep the Ynnwyn as a backup :)

Don\'t get me wrong here.  I love the game (even in this pre-alpha state) and I\'m not trying to wet on your barbeque grill.   Nevertheless, I would be very interested to know just what percentage of those accounts are active in some sort of current sense (within the last three months for example) instead of being merely the vestiges of curious people who passed through, never to return again.

I would just like to say congrats to all the PS team! Both official and non-official for their great game. And to see it SO popular too must be a great feeling. If I had more skills, then I would certainly love to help, but I don\'t, so I have mentioned you on my website and put instructions for installing the linux version of PS at http://www.foxgamer.net So I am hoping that this will turn a few more heads for you.

Keep up the great work!

wow. a lot has changed in the years since i last visited this place. i joined this forums when it used to have around 1000 members but left soon after because i didn\'t have a good net connection to play this game.
i remember, cynically reading all those posts about RPing and thinking to myself that i have read brags like those far too many times. wasn\'t that what the every conershop MMOG would claim. forunately, at least from the forums, i get the impression that i was wrong. it seems that PS is seriously gearing up to put the RPG back in the MMORPGs. hats off to all you guys, the developers and players, for that.
150,000 members! and the game still hasn\'t been released. good for you all.
i so wish i could play too, but my college net connection doesn\'t allows me to use any other port than 80.  :(

the only question i can think of is that when the hell is the first complete release gonna come out? i think its been nearabout 4 years since the last time i saw the game in alpha built. Xp

that and you do need prettier player models. most of them look like the monsters on the CRPGs i grew up with. no offence meant.

ah well, i sure do wish that i could play this game. i have been waiting for so long.

regards and best wishes.
Quraid.

Hmmh...I don\'t seem to remember you, Quraid. But maybe you just changed your name...or maybe you didn\'t. But my memory doesn\'t seem to go that well at some points anymore.

Hehe anyway... The old days you\'re talking about, you know...I still think of them as fun. You\'re talking about bragging and stuff, and just the usuall stuff and so on...I don\'t know, but I really had fun those days. You know, 2002, Atomic Blue came out, it was HELL to get ingame and once you were ingame it was even BIGGER hell. But it WAS fun nonetheless.
It was new. Talking and talking and talking about it and suddenly, there it was and...it was HELL :)) I\'m sure there are people on this forum who know what I\'m talking about  ;) And oh yes, ofcourse the people that make planeshift also know what I\'m talking about  :P You know, lots of bugs, LOADS of em, lots to talk about...
And..it was fun in a way like \"WOOOOOHOOOOOO Atomic, I just took two steps in like ten minutes and then I fell through the floor and I got stuck again.\"

Some people would get annoyed by this, but I liked it. I\'m still liking Planeshift.
And although I\'ve never created anything for it, I\'m just trying to test and play my way in it like everybody else, I\'m proud of Planeshift :)

See how it\'s grown. See how big it will be. *gets all nostalgic and soft*

Okay sorry for my little rant on Planeshift, hope you find a way to get in the game or frequent the forums more Quraid  :))

lol, yeah. even i don\'t remember what was my id at that time. but then again, i was just a lurker. i couldn\'t join most discussions as i hadn\'t played the game and didn\'t know what everyone was talking about. :D

there used to be regular posts how RPing hould be implemented in the game and even the developers would chime in from time to time. and who could forget the PvP debates. there used to be a loong but amazingly good thread about how to implement RP elements in the game with points like hiding monster levels etc. it was exciting just to read all that stuff.
sheesh. its only 150,000 registered members, what will happen when PS finally gets released? :D we will have a huge nostalgia thread. but despite the annoynces and all the bugs, the thing about PS is that most of people who are playing here have stuck since the beginning and looking at PS is like watching your baby grow. you saw it taking its first steps, you heard it utter its first words and now that it is on the verge of adolescence you can\'t help but reminisce about those days.

i still can\'t get in the game but i will try to lurk around.

regards.

PS: were you there when they started the implementation of weapons?

I saw this thread and read through it thinking ????????????????????????????

It turns out that in the united states the delimator is a , instead of a .  and so basically I thought that it said one hundred and fifty point zero zero zero accounts.  I was like - there must be way way way more than 150 - then I figured it out - its early and I just woke up lol.  Anyways tis a good mark of 150,000 ! Glad to be here and thanks for everything to everyone who has worked on this!

Yeah once we\'ll have this gigantic nostalgy thread  :D

Anyway about your postscriptum...Uhm I was here in the beginning for about half a year I think. Then I took a few months off and came back. After a while again I took some time off and came back for molecular. It was there that they implemented weapons but you couldn\'t do anything with them, and to have them you had to run around for ages gathering crystals in the newly implemented dungeons. When you had enough of them you could trade them in for weapons.
Again I took a few months off, came back for a while, took a few months off, and now I\'m back for Crystal  :))

So I\'ve always been around, I\'ve always seen it grow, but I haven\'t been always active.

And you\'re right, I too have the feeling that it is like seeing your baby grow...I don\'t know if the other Planeshift\"Oldies\" have this feeling too, but if I, as a not always this active player have this feeling you most certainly must have it too  :D

I have loads of good memories about Atomic, I have loads of good memories about Molecular, and I\'m building on my good memories from Crystal :)

We have far fewer active accounts as some people have pointed out. But it is an important milestone. I just hope that the majority of those players are role-players...

Just being optimistic, cha0s  :D  Nothing wrong with that. After all, inactive accounts or not, 150000 is a huge number, and even if we have a lot of inactive ones, we still have alot of active players left right?

EDIT: Just noticed you saying \"But it\'s an important milestone\". Must\'ve read over it. But indeed, as I said, it IS a milestone not to be forgotten :) [/EDIT]

thats how WoW has 4 million members and GW has 1 million. if they were to count only the acttive members, the no. will be a lot lesser.

im new to this game and i think its really good, but theres just 1 thing...... im pretty reluctant to make a good account because i would like it better when the character editing features come (ip), i think that would really bring the game together because everybody goes around looking the same.
would it be possible if you could bring this out soon

I think everyone would like to see more character variety, the devs included :) But their attention currently lies on a few more important bits of code - and besides, you need artists with a lot of free time to provide all of that variety, and there has already been quite a bit of work done in that direction. \"Soon\" will come whenever, but it will come. Just don\'t prod the devs and go \"Do it nooooow!\" ;)
