Hum.. \"Although the words they spoke remained unfamiliar to him, he could understand them. Somewhere deep in his soul, he knew what it all meant. What it led to. What inflamed his heart.\"
The words were addressed for his soul, not his ears. They were old and mystical characters, so I thought I\'d do it like that :)

i toyed with the idea of caps. but, by the time i had reached a decision they had already been posted. i know it can make for a slightly harder read. but, perhaps the next one.

Was my entry not considered because I\'m such a bad story teller? ;)

Here\'s a small crit of your text Draklar;).
You wrote: \"He lied there like that... With no strength, with no will... With no hope.\"
Lied is not the word for a past tense lie, as in lying down, it would be lay^_^.

Thank you! You have no idea how many times I wondered about that, but never got myself to ask anyone xD

English is still alien territory for me :[

0_0 Please tell me English is your primary language, or I\'m going to be very, very, scared and go hide somewhere.

I was glad to help:)

[Humorus mention]
I mentioned it because it lept out at me. I snorted becasue it happened to me once when I was younger. I wasted I think a whole hour, but couldn\'t remember for the life of me what the past tense for lie was. English can be so wierd sometimes.

No criticizms for me? Come now, I don\'t bruse easily. Take the shot. :D

As I told stueben, short stories are hard to write for me. They always tend to... er... grow. There always seems to be something else to tell and simply can not be left out.

Well, actually no.
English is that foreign language that I could never be bothered to study at school :[
Results of what you can see in my grammar errors.

Well, German was another language I never bothered to study at school, but I think all I can say in it is \"Ich bin neunzehn jahre alt\" Oh, and \"Wie alt bist du?\" ^^

Well, since it\'s last day of voting, I thought I might bump this thread a bit so people who didn\'t, could vote now :P

Not many people voted, apparently :/

I voted late, but i think it was counted anyways.  20 votes total.

I found UtM\'s story the easiest to read so I voted for his.  However, I thought too much attention was given to the rock and not enought to the one who would combat the great evil claw monster.
