As for the first:

I don\'t buy myself anything for christmas... I just buy stuff whenever I want it.

For the second:

Yeah... I\'d better start thinking about buying some things for people :P

I don\'t know a single person in the civilised world who buys themselves presents for Christmas.

I do know a present I\'ll be receiving however: Art tablet. :D Wacom Intuous somethingorother. Whatever it is, I\'ve been waiting a damn long time for it, so I could care less about its name and attributes. :]

\"I don\'t know a single person in the civilised world who buys themselves presents for Christmas.\"

I\'ll be buying many things for other people as well, but I need my tablet and harddrive for school. And for fun as well. Mostly for fun. Mmmmm... uncivilized and having fun...

BTW, how do you add quotes to a post?

I don\'t buy anybody gifts for Xmass or birthdays. If I wish to get someone something, any day of the year is the perfect time. That said, my brother and I just bought my father this (or similar model)  plus a surround system. :)

I\'m also hard to buy for -- If I want something during the year, I\'ll usually go out and get it. I have no idea what I might get...

I also have trouble buying things for my parents and parents-in-law, because they tend to act the same way (bah! pragmatists!)... Do I get them a gift certificate?

Interestingly, I\'m seriously considering buying them something very different this year:
Organizations like Samaritan\'s Purse or heifer.org let you purchase gifts for families in the third world on behalf of someone else.
For example, you can buy a flock of chickens or a goat for a family in Central Africa.

So, this year, I\'m buying my mom and dad a bunch of chickens... which they\'ll never see! :)

I have a Wacom Graphite 3 and all I can say is....niiiiiccceeee^_^. You\'re getting yourself one nice present.

As for me, I don\'t have a job yet so I\'m a little out of present giving. I also don\'t give gifts unless I see something they really would like. My whole family works that way. It\'s nice, barring my parents (Who need to give me lots of presents(Subliminal hint, hint)), us siblings get something for each other only if we really think they\'d like it. I never have to worry with that whole \"Gotta get something or they\'ll feel bad\". No, if my sister doesn\'t give me anything, then she just didn\'t find anything worth it.
Not that it means we don\'t constantly shop for each other. My mom comments how whenever we go out, I always am pointing things out and saying \"Wouldn\'t such-and-such like that!.\" and dittos for the others.
