hello everybody. i was wondering if anyone can tell me about this game while im downloading. things like hints good things about this game and bad things about this game. etc.

Hiya, and welcome to PlaneShift! :)

First I would recommend that you take a look around the main website and the Player Guide, to get an idea of what\'s currently available to players. Keep in mind that PlaneShift is by no means a complete game - it\'s not even a beta yet, but a pre-alpha tech demo (warning: bugs a-plenty) so we have to deal with a few stability issues sometimes ;) But the community is great, and strongly roleplay-oriented. You won\'t find a lot of hints on the forums, simply because there isn\'t a lot to  hint about - but basically anything concerning quest answers, \"spoiler\" maps, etc., is not allowed on the public forums. Generally it\'s a good idea to also look through some stickied threads, such as:

A short but helpful FAQ
Character Naming Policy - Must Read!
A Guide to Role-Playing
How to Report In-Game Abuse
On Guilds and their creation
Guide to 2D/3D Contribution

?among others. Be sure to update the game before logging in, and make sure that you have the latest drivers for your graphics card. Try to before posting new threads, either for suggestions or bug reports, and remember, you can also use the in-game Help channel for any questions in the game world - an Advisor will try to help you ASAP.
