The evil in Oja
« on: December 23, 2005, 07:42:02 am »
[Jinkeen Razon]

What is this evil that has krept into our fair city, the fair city of Akkaio, also known as Ojaveda?

It speaks to us on the wind.  It attacks us when we do not face it.

It has pushed me and mine around.  It will not face us..it fears our strength.  We are a strong race, the Enkidkai.  We are ready.

We fear not evil.

If war is what it wants, then it shall have it.

I encounterd this evil in front of the tavern in Ojaveda.  It attacked my friends and I.  We stood together and it could not break our bond..It will be back..it will be stronger...we will be ready.

Aye, a strange purple mist covered Akkaio for most of the day.  Strange shadows moved in and out, and most turned out to be citizens and the occasional rogue.  But one was different as this enki suggests.  A sinister voice that I didn\'t recognize, but that others gave the name \"mage\".  It toyed with us but gave nothing for us to strike at.

Toying with prey can be a sign of great power, or a sign of great weakness.  Either way, I would cherish the chance to harm this \"mage\" that would so mock me.

[Thanks for posting! Two requests: first, could you edit in your full character names at the top of your posts in brackets []. And second, could you edit in where this is taking place, give it some context, etc. Thanks! :) ]

I do not know what this evil wants but I stand with you all to take it on and get it out of Akkiao.
All should be in Akkiao tomorrow to stand and fight; especailly if you are an enki!!

The Enkidukai shall make a stand in their city? The place is blighted, now. It is the heart of a very strong evil. Your swords and magic, despite being wielded by brave hearts, will not be enough to defeat the Prince of Rogues.

No, Enkidukai, I implore you: Come take refuge in the city of Hydlaa, you have always been more than welcome. Together we will overcome this great evil that his befallen your noble city; we will call on the magic that rests in the bones of our citizens and together defeat those would think to pervert a great city such as is yours.

Whe we appreciate the welcome of Hydlaa ...we will NOT run. We will NOT abandon our city, simply because some faceless voice in the mist wills it. We fight, for our homes, and for our honor.
 It must be so.

There is more than one way to fight, I say. I warn you, I cannot see you succeeding with brute force, but I wish you luck and may the gods be with you.

I have an alternative plan. Those interested seek me out in Hydlaa.

I am currently positioned at the front lines, the enemy has not crested the hills. Fear and anxiety appear to be seizing the troops, but I will stay firm. For if I am to fall it shall be a warriors death.

There a plethora of species here, Kran, Diaboli, Dwarves, Ynnwn. War has united us, and we will overcome this menace.

*He* is an entity for himself, in magical force at least. The only way to beat *him* would be to use something that can block off his magic.

The evil has been stopped, and to all congratulations. We will forever remember this day as the day the Prince of Rogues was defeated and order restored to Yliakum.
