Dagger problems
« on: December 30, 2005, 05:38:18 am »
I recently tried to equip a dagger, but was unable to because of not enough ENDuance. Odd, Im maxed out on END, 130. Does anyone else have this same problem?

To the *Advisor* I asked, about this problem.
I was told by an advisor to ask a GM about this problem. That is why I did so. Or else I would of came to the forum first. I will no longer go to a GM for such \"Trivial\" questions. ;)

maximum available stats are sometimes below that a random generated loot weapon requires to be equiped, usually its a dagger of peace with a slash of 0.2 or something just silly, but such weapons when able to be equiped vastly boost two maybe three of your main stats.

no clue what your talking about not asking a GM, any of them could have told you this

The dagger I tried to equip was the dagger of the hammer I belive. Its slash is very low.

I did ask a GM in the game, But he told me not to bother asking somthing so trivial, and to ask here. Then left.

Thanks for the info though.

I\'m not too sure, but of the hammer weapons may need more stamina maybe 150? Though it should tell you that when you try to equip it.
<Rux> i wish i could say that narrows it down, but the internet is one freaky place

Game Masters are there to avoid anger between players, and to enforce rules of excepted behaviour, with the target to make most players enjoy the game, especially the roleplaying part.

Answering questions of unexperienced players in some rather sniffy kind is not really appreciated, because it makes players angry, and might lead them to avoid playing (and is one of the reasons why even some \"icons\" tend to leave PlaneShift...); wouldn\'t it have been more suitable to suggest looking for the next \"weapon expert\" (and a GM shall know players who are there long enough to know answers of \"trivial\" questions)?

Furthermore, I remember that several details - like special weapon attributes - are prohibited to be discussed in public to avoid cheating.

Constin, be sure that you can find many helpful people; but some of the GMs are \"too busy\" to be talkative, obviously...

I\'d say whoever the GM was that gave that answer was pretty arsey, also advisors shouldnt be calling advice sessions just to fob you off onto a GM.

I can\'t see why a GM would be too busy to help. Unless when you /who them it says developer next to the name. Anyone else from peacekeeper to magistrate should be able to do more then just throw you off with a one liner like that, even if it is just to explain the \"Furthermore, I remember that several details - like special weapon attributes - are prohibited to be discussed in public to avoid cheating.\" part.

Now if I was the one who said that I\'ve really put my foot in it >.> but i havent been in game that much and i don\'t recall that event so i think im safe.

Ok, where can I get my hands on a complete set of the PS rules and regulations? I would like to study this. 8)

Boy, I would seriously love to have such a thing myself :P Sadly I believe most of it is thrown around the forum and the main site, but can be pointed to if someone asks to see rules on a specific something. And, and, a \"complete set\" of rules and regulations is an insane thing to try to make in a pre-alpha technical demonstration ;)

Something in particular you\'re curious about that we can try to dig up?
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

hmm really should be a rulepage somewhere so these rules can be put on. Believe most the GMs don\'t even know all the details anymore seeing exept for the moderators I asume they aren\'t reading every post.

(hat of for the moderators to sift through all that BTW. Having to read so many repeat threads.)
