The big thing about  keeping a guildlist updated, is to frequently remove the inactive guilds. That\'s one thing guild leaders often don\'t do for you, as they often simply disappear. So you should still actively check if all the guilds in your list are still alive to prevent the list from getting poluted with dead guilds.

Nice idea though. A good working guildlist is highly needed.

EDIT:

Yeah, it won\'t hurt to have another list.

I\'ve made a few background tiles from graphics in the game and put them up... still looks aweful I think.  If anybody wants to make me some nice seamless tiling textures, I would appreciate it.  Just email them to ylikone[at]gmail[dot]com

Also, any guild owners that created an account, I wouldn\'t mind feedback on if there are bugs or extra features you\'d like to see.

Using PlaneShift art for such stuffs is prohibited by the license if I recall. If you bug Talad for a bit he might give you special persimmons or something >.>

In the meantime, I could help with textures :] I think.

come to #ps-mc on irc.freenode.net and poke at one of the joses, or iktomis. I\'ve been thinking about making something like this for a while, but I\'m not much good with php and the like :P

I\'ve changed the listing layout slightly.  Any other ideas on what other columns of data would be nice in this?  I can probably fit one or two more between \"Leader\" and \"Last Updated\".

The hotmail address you specified gives me an error (does not exist) when I try to send email to it.  Please send me what you want as a login/email and password to ylikone[AT]gmail[DOT]com and I will adjust your account accordingly.

Just as a general comment to anyone that wants to join-up to guildlisting.com but does not want to give me an email address, just use a service like http://www.dodgeit.com which allows free temporary receive-only addresses.  I doesn\'t matter to me, as I am not interested in collecting email addresses, it\'s just a way to make sure people get unique logins and I can contact you when your account has been setup.

Yes. You could add \"active members\" next to members, because especially guilds with a large member count mostly have a lot of inactive players. ;)

I\'m not sure if an \"active members\" can be kept updated by the leaders properly, so I am not sure if adding that column would really mean much.  What do others think of adding this column?  Thanks for the suggestion though.

I recently added an \"announcement\" feature for guild leaders.  Now a leader can send an email to all other leaders with accounts on the site, without revealing email addresses (senders or receivers).

The site now has 13 guilds signed-up and I\'ve fixed a lot of the little bugs that were found.  I think it is safe to say the site is now fully functional and out of beta testing.  I still am looking for someone to volunteer making better seamless background tile images for me, but that is not urgent in my opinion.

If you are a guild leader and you haven\'t joined up yet, please do so!
Thanks!

Active members would be hard to keep updated. It might be a good place to show alliances/wars. Although that may be hard to keep updated too.

What about the guilds with multiple leaders? Maybe something to have multiple people to update can help.

The multiple logins being able to edit a single entry might be a good idea.

you could add a location column. GUild leaders can say where they can be found in Planeshift.

This could help players looking for guild shops and leaders IG.

Well, that might be true. (However, I\'d like to have a column on the list which indicates how active a guild is.)

Maybe. But I don\'t think that most guild leaders will stick to that one location they specified all the time when they are in-game. ;)
A simple /who and a /tell will probably do it, too.
