I\'m not familar with any version except the home and professional versions.  Both of which are ok but still have issues.   I\'ve had the prof version crash on me a few times ( not a BSOD though , just something like \"sucks to be you buddy...\" )

hah I run Windows XP home edition on both my computers and by god thathas soooo many bugs and faults in it. hmm I got a suggestion to the Windows company to make a OS from scratch then make sure it has \'NO\' bugs or errors at the time then release it. then after 2 years they release another version that follows on that has all bugs fixed then so forth....
yes... i\'m addicted to smilies :P:):D;), get me mental help peoples....

Love the pic, acraig! Couldn\'t find any great Mac ones, so I whipped one up really quick. Not as awesome as yours, though. ;)

Not my images, of course. Stolen and edited. :)

Nah, not everyone... just a lot of the devs... though there is a large Mac/Linux population in general (relative to other games, that is). And I won\'t deign to respond to your other comment...

I play Planeshift on a windows pc.  Windows sucks.  I would use Linux if I had time to learn it.  The mac in the house belongs to my mom, so I can\'t use it.  I\'m stuck with an OS that makes this look solid...

Fortunately it made it easy to bring it in to school in pieces and store it on my network drive so I can stay after school and play PS...

Actually, Microsoft is working on completely new OS, called Singularity ( -> singularity home). According to some test it is fastest OS ever made, it is also much more secure than Windows (each process is completely isolated from any other - viruses have no chance of infecting system). ATM i don\'t belive it will conquer the world, but who knows...

Actually, singularity is just a new kernel design, rather than a whole new OS from scratch, although singularity would become the core part of a future OS I guess. MS are making windows Vista atm, which is a new OS from scratch, and will be released this year.

Try ubuntu, it is rather easy to use. And bullet (=? Idiot) proof.

Corporate edition is basically a version of xp pro that, like the education version, doesn\'t require a key, it is preinstalled on the cd, and the same disc can be used with hundreds of pc\'s, That\'s why it\'s cracked so often :P

Edit: Ubuntu isn\'t idiot proof, it\'s just idiotic... get a \"real man\'s distro\" :P Have the gui apps don\'t even do what they say they do, jsut kinda a runaround trying to set stuff up, stick with the command line and a good package manager.
