That\'s actually not a bad machine, Cyl, except for the small matter of the Ram :\\
You know what they said, \"God will provide the RAM\"... well it ain\'t true.

Cyl, I\'ve got the same setup except an athlon 2400+ XP and 512mb of memory...soon to add another 512mb.  Oh ya, and about 350 GB of hard drive (3 of em).

The graphics card does lack in some areas but it gets me by.  I don\'t know how you can run Planeshift with 256mb of memory though.  All but 60mb of memory is used on my system (Slackware Linux 10.1) when I run planeshift.  Though the system does double as a webserver and I usually have a few firefox windows plus gaim running while I play.
It\'s amazing how we can do things simultaneously, like talking and not listening.

I\'m proud of mine, not for tha rather lwo specs, but for that fact that it is mine, it runs well under my guidance, and iis faster in actions (not cpu, etc...) than most of my friends pc\'s, several which have 3x the power mine does. It\'s the linux :P

p3 733
768mb ram
gf fx 5200 128
nice old crt (me <3\'s my viewsonic g773)
soundblaster 16 live
40+20gb hdd

I use archlinux btw.

Working on this:
amd 2400+ (jsut cause I have it) 2.0ghx oc\'d to 2.3
2gb ram
160gb hdd
gf 6600 or 6800 128
audigy zs
Warning: Prone to common sense.

amd xp 2500+ \"barton\"
Abit an7
2x512+256 mb ram (2700,2700,2100)...(i know.. sucky config.. but it works and i never run low on ram)
20gb maxtor + 40gb seagate (hmm 24 kb of free space is kinda sucky..)
gigabyte 9600p
19\' 96p samatron monitor

together it costed me about 550$ two years ago. i still think it\'s ok considering that i still have access to all the features i need both graphically and instructionset wise

Well I\'m proud of mine for its ability to keep pace for enough years that it didn\'t seem like a wasteful purchase - that and it was surprisingly expandible.

Initial Specs at purchase time:

P4 1.8ghz Northwoods Core
128 MB Rambus
20 GB EIDE Drive
24X CDROM
32 MB GeForce2 MX 400
AC97 Soundcard
56k Crap WinModem
15\" FlatPanel
Optical Mouse
Windows XP Home

Current Specs

P4 2.66 ghz (I have a 3 ghz processor I havn\'t put in as enabling hyperthreading is going to require a bios flash)
2.5 gb Rambus
A 40gb Seagate drive and a 160 GB IBM DeskStar
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200Ultra 128 MB
No Modem whatsoever
SB Live! with Dolby 5.1
52X CDBurner (LITEON)
Cheap DVD reader (at least it has DMA :D )
21\" NEC CRT
Optical Marble Trackball Mouse
Ubuntu 5.10 Linux
OpenSuSE 10 Linux

Nowadays its much more fun to play with, but sadly its nearing the end of its \"Awsomeness\" Era.  Next on the list will be an AMD system with PCI Express.

My computers are not worth listing here, as the best I have is an AMD 2GHz machine.  (who can beat Xordan anyway?)

But... what do you people name your computers?

Mine are Woogie, Venus, Pingu and Reactor

Hehe. I hope you guys know I posted those comp specs purely in jest.     I dont believe anyone would spend that money.    It was supposed to be a blatently exagerated sarcastic remark.

1g ram
nvidia geforce 7800 gt
all liquid cool

Im planning on upgrade of ram to 2g soon. but at the moment. nothing I play reqiures it
