I Swear, Have People Gone Insane?
« on: January 07, 2006, 01:25:33 am »
I left for a good time, now I\'m back and I\'ve already seen to much. First of all, why is Noxide a game master? That can only lead to trouble...(Don\'t hit me)

Second, Moogie and Draklar leaving. Why? They can\'t come out and say it, they have to leave us in the dark, if it doesn\'t feal like home, do what I did and find a new game and compare the two.

Even though most of these things don\'t concern me, it still disrupts my thoughts of coming back, it seems like people can\'t make a smart decision, and I swear they had to have been drunk.

Sorry if there are any sad people reading this about Moogie, but I\'m saying what a few others would probably like to say, I have nothing to lose for speaking my mind.

Well, certainly they weren\'t thinking straight when they made Noxide a game master, Tarel was trying for a long time, constantly helping people, and abiding by GM rules. Noxide on the other hand, has abused almost every in-game bug, dueled just about everyone in his sight, trash-talked a lot of people, and acted really annoying around the Plaza, constantly interrupting RP. The only thing the developers saw was his huge advisor point count, which was something he did while he was bored. They could have at least read some of the responses he gave to people asking questions, they were hardly accurate.

EDIT: Sorry Nox, but I\'m kind of ticked off right now at what I come back and find

There are three threads explaining why the people who left, left. What is so hard to understand about their motives?
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Had no complains about Nox\'s gm\'ing, so I don\'t see a problem now. Anyway, this isn\'t the best place to go criticizing a GM because you don\'t think he/she should have been made one. File a complaint to someone and give evidence showing that they aren\'t a good GM and we might think about looking at reading it.

Meh, too much work, I have yet to see how Noxide is actually GMing, I\'m just going by his player life.

How incredibly uninteresting.

So you feel some people made some bad decisions, and fail to give a concrete example of why this is.  Congratulations.  Nothing changes.

No one cared about Noxide\'s stupid AP count.  I\'m not entirely sure how he got in either; he has been a problem player in the past.  However, that being said, he has been a decent GM up to this point.  (the GM1s with just the dark green labels can\'t really do much, yet, though)  So as long as he is an asset to the GM team, I have no problems with him, whatsoever.

When it comes to various oldbies leaving, well... they had already left as-is in reality.  They just officially left, and the rest of the community found out.  The Moogie thread for example:  She had a goodbye message in her sig for a bit, and had been largely absent from all but the devs IRC room for a while.  I sent her a PM, she said goodbye to us in the devs room, and then someone else made that (overly sappy) thread and everyone else (who somehow didn\'t already know) found out.  In general, if someone leaves you should either ask them why, or if you don\'t know them enough to do so, it\'s probably none of your business.  They\'re not dying; many of these reactions are a bit... excessive.  Yes, it\'s sad when they leave, but don\'t overreact.

I feel like everyone who knows a thing is tiptoeing around this issue.  That includes myself, but I know that talking my mind is the excuse you would just love to have fall into your lap.

I don\'t know exactly what you\'re trying to say, or how to respond to that.  All I can say, is I\'ve said all there really is to know on the issue.  There is no conspiracy.  (though saying that is pretty much the best way to make people think there is one)
