Game terms
« on: January 10, 2006, 04:25:39 pm »
Hey, I was just thinking about some things that people do in the game that don\'t have terms or names associated with terms.  (at least not that I could find by searching the forums)

For example...

First-timers doing /shout in the plaza for getting help.  (maybe newb-shout?)

When running, going directly toward someone else for only a moment to see their name label. (maybe charge-glancing?)

Then there is the  trade boxes. That is fun, they always click on you and \"poof\" trade box. Actually it is quite annoying to me when I am ulber hunting. I was just about to hit one the other day then this trade box popped up in my way. I almost got killed. :p
I've been outside, it's overrated and the graphics suck!

There could be \"lag-walking\" for people with severe lag that keep skipping back and walking/running through the same place a few times.  Reminds me of a broken record that skips.   :D

We call them \"glitchers\" as they keep glitching their way through an area, in and out of our universal plane of existence.

\"Gladnappers\"--the guys in the arena that join the game in the attack position in front of the gladiator you are currently fighting.  *especially funny when the gladnapper is a Kran and spawns at just about the time a Kraniator is supposed to, in the same spot.  I always try to attack them before I realize they got a green name.

\"Bracketilians\"-- those insisting that brackets be used to say something when you are the only two people in the entire game at that moment.

Wind Barriers: Those magical forces that keep you from going off the path

Point of No Return: Those mysterious blue areas where the ground seems to have dissappeared. Presumably holes in the stalactite. Darn overeager miners...  :D  ;)  :P
