Omega Warriors-The Escape
« on: January 18, 2006, 08:15:05 pm »
It has been three long years since the the Omega Warriors escaped the service of the Dark Lord Satu.  Enslaved for what felt like an eternity this battle hardened platoon has ran for countless days through the Labyrinths fighting for their souls against the evil horde Satu sent in pursuit.
Sitting on his throne Satu sent his thoughts to Pelerimer \"Come home...you belong to me.  Have
forgotten the blood oath you have taken?  You are mine.  I will hunt the Omega Warriors until you come back to me\"  Pelerimer suddenly sits up drenched in sweat.  It\'s still dark, around 4 am. \"better get the troops up\" he mutters to himself.  As he wakes the rest of his troops he wonders how long they can hold out.  Satu torments their thoughts with promises of riches and glory.  But what the Omega Warriors long for more than wealth and power is peace.  When they were in Satu\'s service they were his elite strike force, they were the best of the best.  Satu gave them great skill with magic and taught them the secret weapon skills that had made them unmatched in battle.  In his name the Omega Warriors committed horrible acts against any who opposed the Dark Lord.  They burn cities, at night when all where sleeping.  They slaughtered all with no discernment for women or children.
Countless where slain in Satu\'s name until one small child...a little Enkidukai named Ckit cried out for mercy, with that one small cry Pelerimer\'s heart softened slightly, a lone tear rolled down Ckit\'s cheek and fell onto her now dead mother.  He looked for the first time at what has happening...his troops were rounding up the small Enkidukai community; he knew the orders, they would be slashed from behind and dropped into the waiting trench.  The town would be looted and burned, same as the others before and after this one.
With a mighty roar Pelerimer ordered his troops to stop.  With confusion in their eyes the Omega Warriors turned to face their leader.  They\'re devotion to the Dark Lord Satu was second only to that of Pelerimer\'s will. The small clan of Enkidukai\'s huddled together unsure of what was happening, shivering out of fear.
Lapall was warrior the first to step forward and ask for orders.  \"What are you doing?\" he yelled at Pelerimer, temporarily forgetting he was only a lieutenant.  With a flash of anger Pelerimer hit him with the butt of his sword and hissed \"Don\'t you EVER question my methods, next time it will be the other end of my blade.\" The big Diaboli Lapall slowly backed away muttering something about treason to himself.  \"This village will skip Satu\'s sword today\"  Pelerimer yelled.  At that moment the Klyros known as Janiek lunged for Master Pelerimer.  Faster then the eye could follow Pelerimer\'s dagger flashed, and Janiek fell with a long cut across his right eye-he would carry that scar the rest of his life as a reminder of his folly.  \"Anyone else have a problem with my order?\" Pelerimer\'s voice carried across the now silent plaza.  Only stunned silence followed his question.  \"Omega Warriors, we will leave these Enkidukai in peace, no more blood will spill today\" Pelerimer said.  \"Let\'s go.\"
When Satu heard of the Omega Warriors actions that day his anger was so great it is said he himself left his throne to punish Pelerimer himself.  He finally caught up with them about 2 days ride from the Enki town. Satu unleashed his magic without restraint upon the platoon, but to his dismay the troops he had personally trained to do his dirty work had become too strong for even him to totally defeat.  The war raged for days without end, the rivers flowed red with the blood of Satu\'s army mixed with that of the Omega Warriors.  On the third day of battle the Omega Warriors had slaughtered the entire hoard, and only a handful of the Omega Warriors and Satu were left standing on the pile of dead  troops.  Janiek, Pelerimer and Lapall slowly circled the Dark Lord.  \"Satu we will no longer do your evil will\" Pelerimer defiantly shouted.  Satu lets out a low cackle, \"You don\'t have a choice in the matter, you belong to me.  The oath you took in your search for power gave me your souls, you are apart of me now.\"  With that Satu lunged at Lapall, \"If I can\'t control you in life, you WILL serve me in death\"  Satu got his hands around Lapall\'s neck and slowly the others witnessed Lapall\'s spirit beginning to drain into Satu.
With his last bit of strength Lapall glanced at his friends, and whispered for help.  Janiek was the first to move.  He sliced at Satu wildly with is sword,  the wizard quickly dodged Janiek\'s attacks, but not before Janiek sliced off the Dark Lords right hand.  With a howl that cracked the mountains Satu released Lapall and swung towards Janiek.  That was exactly what Pelerimer was waiting for.  With a surgeons skill he drove his blade deep into Satu\'s side.  Bewildered the now crippled Satu tried to escape, but the Omega Warriors blocked his only escape.  \"You can never escape me, you are FOOLS\" Satu said.  He then began to fade into a green mist, the warriors jumped at him to finish him off, but he was already gone.  They heard his voice mocking them inside their heads, like nails on a chalkboard it ripped at their minds. \"You belong to me, you won\'t ever forget that because I will always be watching you.\"
With a look of compassion Pelerimer looked down at the troubled sleeping Warriors, they moaned and tossed in their sleep, Satu was at them no doubt.  \"Get up\" he gently kicked at a sleeping Klyros, \"we must move again, the enemy draws near\".
Heavy with guilt and weary from the unending fight the Omega Warriors finally emerge from the Labyrinth into the blinding light of the Hydlaa day, they knew they would be safe for awhile here, at least in the daytime.  The Warriors try to adapt to civilian life, but have difficulties adjusting.  They are prone to picking fights and never backing down, even if greatly outnumbered.  They are trying their best to makeup for the sins of their past, by random good deeds, and helping anyone who asks it, but at times the Dark Lord Satu bends their minds his direction and chaos is unleashed on unsuspecting travelers.  The Omega Warriors fight daily the personal battle with Satu, always looking behind them, hearing the dark army that pursues them to this day.

One word .... Wow!

Excellent story Lapall.  Such depth!   I never knew that my former guild had such a haunted past.  (It was before my time.)  I wish you, Pelerimer and the rest of the guild much success with your struggle to escape Satu\'s grasp.  If I can be of any help, just ask.

Einnol, you do know that this was a self-created history, right? It didn\'t really happen. =|

Trust me, I would be aware of it. Nice story, though.

:D  Yes, I do know that.  I was just commenting that it is imaginative and gives the guild an interesting back story.  A guild\'s history can be anything it\'s leaders want it to be.  It is always good to see someone put some thought into giving their guild a life, personality, and history of it\'s own.
