Argh!
« on: January 22, 2006, 08:29:30 pm »
I really can\'t find my way around! After much wandering around the Death Realms I made my way out...But otherwise I can\'t find any place for the quest I have...

EDIT:I suppose I should phrase it as a question...How can I get a map?!

But..Cartography! Or isn\'t that in the game yet? That REALLY should be the next thing to add...

The place isn\'t confusing at all once you explore for a few days :) Cartography isn\'t implemented yet, and it\'s quite a bit of time away - mainly the dev team isn\'t sure how to go about implementing such and maps yet.

Ask around for help from other characters in-game (roleplaying it all, of course).

Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

There doesn\'t seem to be much roleplaying going on...And Harnquist is a idiot...

The NPC dialogue system is also in its beginning stages, so they don\'t always (rarely is more like it) understand what the player is trying to say. It\'s being worked on however, and will evolve into much loveliness ;) There is a lot of roleplay, but since it\'s not enforced (and since many new players don\'t know that they are expected to roleplay at least sometimes), finding a group of people can be a bit difficult in the beginning. The tavern is pretty much an always-RP zone, however, so you could try checking there.

Hydlaa\'s exit gates are generally referred to as the \"north\" gates, but I\'m not sure if there is any basis in fact for this, or if people say it out of pure convenience. Maps don\'t have to have N-E-W-S directions on them, you know :)

well for all newbies (including myself) if you get lost in the death realm, do what i did! wait for someone (who is not a newgie) to take you through it. thats what i did and i was out in 10 minutes.
