To put it simply,
\"Soon\" (tm)

As to an explanation, Planeshift is a hobby, and the rate of update is not really constant. So, they\'ll be released when they\'re ready, not before.
Crazy am I. Not responsable for crazyness that ensues.

While I would steal Karyuu\'s patented greeting (\"Hiya!\" ) and post it here, I am a little disturbed by your sig so I post \"Uhhh... hello...\"

Patented greeting? :D I have one? The fame! The prestige! The cookies!

There are so many friendly people around now that I find them more capable of sharing greetings ;)

It would be nice if we got more content for the current models first - animations, costumizations, etc., which I believe will occur before the introduction of new models anyway. There\'s just so much to do, and less time to do it in..

well i have an interest in 3d modeling and will be starting a class on it soon

after i gain a little exp on 3d modeling
is there any way to chip in?
like taking scetches and putting them to actualization?
i am coming to like this game very much
and want to see it grow more rapedly
and if i can contribute to that in anyway besides \"when is it gonna be done!?\" then i would be happy to

also, are there set items in this game?
like \'Diablo II\' had
i think that is one of the coolest things ive seen in a game
and it should be incorporated in many more to come:)

oh, and on the sig thing
lol
well yes i like to smoke pot
i like to play RPGs
i like to listen to music
i add them together
and i am happy
hence my sig vvvv

Certainly :) If you feel that you can help, send an official application (check the Help Us section from the main website), and make sure to have examples of your work ready to show.

What are \"set items\"?

set items are items that are in the same group, lik ein diablo2 there is tal rashas mask and tal rashas armor, ect.  If you collect the whole set, you get special bonuses

Ah, I see. However, \"special bonuses\" just because you have all items of the same set don\'t make much sense, \"realistically,\" in an RPG. Unless the items are magical and are all interconnected - but for regular armor, this won\'t do. However, there will certainly be regular \"sets\" of items - clothes of the same type and the like.

well
the sets were set up storywise like this

Tal Rasha-Was a super powerful mage who imbued his items with special bonuses
which had things like

30% of damage taken goes to mana
+% of magic find(makes item drops better)

and there were also unique items
like deaths web and what not
they were really hard to find
and those who had them had great power
it adds lots of elements to the game
but making items more unique and adding legends
it helps a lot with storytelling

idk how many fan sites i ran across of d2 where ppl had written pages upon pages just about the legend of one sword from the game
oh
and if you havent played d2 yet
go to wal-mart right now and buy the box set for 30$(if in the us)
that is a must play rpg
the best rpg made in my opinion(i havent played WoW so im not sure)

Although Diablo2 is a really cool game(i played it for a long time on Battlenet) it isnt a \"real\" RPG. Its just H&S with a bit of Background story thats it.

If there will be sets like in D2 in PS, then there should be not too many of them imo.Because PS is about RPing and not about Uber-weapons and killing monsters.

Greetings

lol, well you can take your simple hack and slash against an uber
trust me, you learn so much more about the intrecasies of point preservation and strategic stat handling

i dont think set items and other more complex items would take away from PS at all, in fact i think it would add
D2 is a real rpg because it has complex items, good storytelling, and intricate lvling system
that makes it an rpg

PS has lame items in it
items are a big part of rpgs
whats the fun if some newb can get your wpn yet you are the best at PS
there is nothing, that is why with complex items with drop ratio very low
so as there are like 30 elite wpns and will prolly only have 90 those wpns in the PS population
that makes your wpn extra bad**s to your power
it makes for a better character and harder to achieve goals

because all ive been doing in PS is killing a rogue over and over for wpns with higher slash damage
i get the same wpns over and over
i would love to have a like .002% chance of getting one of those wpns
that would boost playing hours i have a goal

Ok, there are a couple of things i need you to keep in mind.

The first is \"Pre Alpha\"
And the second is \"Roleplay\"

Planeshift is Pre Alpha and therefore unfinished. There will be a LOT of balancing left to be done later on.
Planeshift is also a Roleplaying game, more than most other mmorpgs.. It isn\'t supposed to be all about having the best items, or leveling up your stats.. Those things _will_ come into play when the game is finished, but they aren\'t the most important things in the game.

Meaning of RPG isn\'t this what mindless masses like at most, it don\'t change with trend, it meant allways the same. A game to be RPG must have all its elements, not only few. Do you even know what does RPG mean?

The point of playing PS is not how much time you spent online, but how you spent it.
You obviously smoke your weed too much.

What you can failure tommorow, failure today.

lol, trend?
yes i know how faddy these roleplaying games are

see
now if a game is made by a major game company, in this case being Blizzard
it doesnt make it a bad game
D2 is one of if not the greatest rpgs ever made
i am not saying to only have items
im saying to add it
since this game is in its early stages, i am giving tips on how to make it the best rpg
whether roleplaying is what keeps you playing
it wont keep me playing this game a year from now
i need better and more complex item system
as does every other rpg that needs to be made
D2 is better than PS
but PS has a chance to be better than D2
i am stating what that is

now on that last little comment

well i can only play this game around 2 hours a day and like it for the most part
but there is only so many times i can kill a rogue for the same items
whether i roleplay(which i do) while doing it or not
i enjoy the game and the roleplaying effect of it
but it isnt enough to keep me satisfied forever because of the lame items
i understand this is early stages
i never bitched for it not having the items now
i was simply saying that the items should be added to improve the quality of the game
im patiant, i can wait
i would just like to see better items in game

oh and for the weed thing
lol, well you didnt seem to catch what i was saying in the first page
and got all defensive on PS

dont put yourself above someone because of a sig
me smoking pot doesnt equal me talking out of my a*s
:)
