What to Train on?

Ive just started, and I wodered what would be start as a beginning thing to train on. Thanks, and Im glad to finally have the requirements for this game as this game looks awesome. Thanks.

Hi.
I hope you know that planeshift is still very uncomplete, so here a list of skills that work (i don\'t know excactly, but i think it is actual)

I\'d first train the fighting skill you use, that should help most to advance.

For just being a good fighter, I\'d just attack rats and clackers as you would normally do.  Once you rank up, then find a rat and attack it in full deffensive mode.  Once you level up in light armour, then kill the rat, and then run off.  Train weapons and light armour up so that the bars are fully green again, and repeat the process.

Do that about 50 times and you\'re gold.

You could always try to roleplay if things get boring..

I believe a good order would be :

Rats

Clackers || Weak mercenaries || Weak tefusang

Stronger mercenaries || rogues || mid-strength tefusang || weak bandits

That\'s about as far as I got to before getting bored... I remember the days when the only loot in the world was rat eye, rat tail and tefusang tooth. Those were the days.

Meh, depends on how strong you are to start with, how many hit points etc.  Yeah, I\'d go for rats/clackers then weak mercenaries, as the weak mercenaries drop good swords sometimes. I got my blessed broadsword from one of them.

But really, we don\'t want to -encourage- people to ignore rp just to kill stuff, do we? :P

If you\'re killing things to make money, then you\'re going to want to know the most efficient way to go about it.

How do you tell a \'weak mercenary\' from a \'stronger mercenary\'?

By fighting them, really. They have no obvious visual markers.

The mercenaries are all the same.  It\'s the rogues you have to worry about.

Trial and error is the best way to find out, as is common sense.  For instance, a rogue which hides out somewhere remote is probably going to be weaker than one brave enough to hang around gladiators.

weak mercs use swords, strong mercs use axes.  If you need prog points, the dwarven merc is easy plus gives you 4 pp.
