Holy moo-cow! Why the heck would anyone need 500 processors?? My computer works just fine with one!

I have only this to say:

Two words: Nuclear Bombs.

That\'s why they need so many processors - simulating the many ways that a nuclear weapon can explode, fail to explode, leak, break down...

I was going to build a dual processor dual core opteron computer, but when I saw that my motherbaord alone was going to be over $1000 bucks I quickly ran away.

I would want to have dual core or dual processor for rendering stuff.  It\'d be great.

The computer I\'m talking about is used to calculate the genome of corn.  Apparently that\'s hard to do.

Yes, one of the supercomputers I saw was working on a genome project. Those projects really suck up the juice.

Nah, the 360 has one processor with 3 cores (and they are in-order processing).
